Meet Rascal: Part Explorer, Part Couch Potato, All Heart

Hi, I'm Rascal! I'm a 71-pound adventure buddy with a heart as big as my paws. My foster mom thinks I might be a Rhodesian Ridgeback and Great Dane mix, but whatever my breed mix is, it gave me the perfect combination of athleticism, intelligence, and affection.

I love being outdoors, especially if there's water involved. Swimming is my favorite way to relax, and I can spend hours soaking in nature, watching the clouds drift by and keeping an eye on the world around me. When we're not at the pool, you'll find me enjoying car rides, feeling the wind in my ears, or exploring new places with my people.
I'm a smart boy who loves learning and making my humans proud. I know sit, stay, wait, down, leave it, and I come when called. I'm eager to please and enjoy training because it means spending time with the people I love.

At home, I'm a total sweetheart. I love cuddling on the couch, giving kisses, carrying stuffed toys around the house, and hunting for squeakers. A good chew toy is one of my favorite treasures. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and am always ready to make a new friend.

If I had a résumé, it would list "Professional Bunny Spotter" as a special skill. I once caught a bunny, but when my foster mom told me to drop it, I listened immediately. That's just who I am—a good boy who wants to do the right thing.

The only thing missing from my life is a family to call my own. I've spent my life waiting for a forever home where I can be someone's best friend, adventure partner, and couch companion. If you're looking for a loyal, loving dog who will be by your side through every walk, road trip, and lazy Sunday afternoon, I think we should meet.

We’re excited to announce our raffle for a fun-filled basket of toys — and every ticket helps support the amazing rescue dogs at K9 Orphans! 🐶☀️

This lucky basket is packed with toys that any pup will love, and one lucky winner will take it home. There is quite an assortment of stuffies, a plush blanket and one surprise giggle ball!
