🥰🐾 They’re vetted. They’re loveable. And they’re being overlooked.

Right now, six of our sweet pittie-type dogs are waiting in foster homes, and some have been waiting awhile. They’re puppies and adults. They’re good with people, all great with other dogs and most even do well with cats. What they don’t have is the look that automatically gets a second glance in a photo. 👀

❤️ So for these dogs, we’re lowering the adoption fee to $100.

Here’s what that $100 comes with: spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, negative heartworm test, flea/tick prevention, positive training rebate, plus time in a foster home where we know their personality, not just their breed appearance label. Their care costs us far more than $100. We’re not discounting their worth. We’re clearing the way for the right person to say yes. 🤗

🫶 Who's here for our Gentle Giant CODY?

And he's not as big as they come - he weighs in still (just barely) in the 2-digit range! 😉 Does he have great body awareness? Not always. But besides cats - he's not got an aggressive bone in his body. He's making huge progress with a no-pull leash and our volunteers are becoming big fans of this big guy!

🙌 He's great with other DOGS and people including school-aged and up KIDS (but just not super small-sized to be safe because of HIS size and possibly knocking over) and was returned after 2 years ONLY because they could not get him to be better with their cats. Just 2 years old and playful but not crazy energy at all.

👉 Even a FOSTER for Cody would be huge as we currently have him in a home with dogs who are not good with others (ONLY because no one will take a 93 lb dog ☹️ to foster so far, even though he's pretty much perfection!), which means he's having to be crated and rotated and not living the home life we want for him.

Local surrender requests & dogs in need ~ all of these pups need a FOSTER! A safe, loving place to crash for awhile as we work on finding them the perfect home. Saying yes to one or even a couple for a period of time will help us SAVE LIVES, no exaggeration!

We can provide everything needed & 24/7 support - fostering is such a feel-good thing to do and it will make all the difference to the pup you take in. Sending us awesome pics and stories about them helps them even MORE! 🥰

FIA: 2-year Dalmation, great with all people, but seems like she needs to be the only pet in the home ** DESPERATELY need an animal-free foster home for her (they're hard to come by! be her hero!)
MACKEY's brothers (we took him in last week and now his surrenderers want to surrender his brothers, also) - 2 years old small mix breed
MILO: Sad return after being adopted as a young puppy - little 7-month old cutie whose adopters now have a newborn and aren't able to manage him and give them the time and attention he needs and deserves! (no hate ~ let's just get this guy adopted - super sweet and fun!) only 27 lbs last month when neutered
BATMAN: Almost 6-months old and still being overlooked - be his hero and foster him and help us get some AWESOME pics to get people's attention as an under-noticed black puppy! Super friendly and sweet!

🐾 This pup just turned 5 months old and is just 26 lbs of pure lovebug! 😍He adores snuggling on a lap and playing in the backyard with his people or foster doggy siblings is a favorite pastime, too! As they've grown, we are seeing some possible Whippet and lab mix in him and his 3 littermates - but one thing we do know is that Batman is 100% ready to be your new best friend. 💕 He's also got a brother and 2 sisters who look quite similar who are hoping for their forever homes, as well.

WE HAVE AMAZING NEWS AND A HUGE ASK-

We are looking for forever sponsors- we can connect you to a forever foster of your choice and if you sponsor some or all of their costs you will get photos and updates and whatever else you’d like to keep abreast of their lives

A short time ago we posted about some long time unicorns getting their adoption or foster /forever foster!

Today 2 more dogs who are unicorns made into hopefully a home for good- (some are still technically adoptable but hopefully forever foster/adopted is soon to follow

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We did not give up on these dogs and need your donations to help make the reality of forever be theirs!

Yearly costs to maintain these dogs and the 18 others we anticipate requiring forever funding is as follows:

Meet some dogs whose eyes will stop your scroll! 👀🐾

Last night we shared that Queenie and Cassie headed home last week after years of waiting - and Mumbles finally to a foster. We're so happy for them, and it's got us thinking about who's still here, still waiting, still so ready to be somebody's whole world.

These are just a few of our "only dog" dogs. The ones who do best as the sole four-legged resident of a household, no roommates of the canine variety, please and thank you. And LOOK AT THEM!

That's not a technicality standing between them and a home. That's just... a dog who wants you all to themselves. (**They all need fosters, as well - so they don't need to be crated and rotated all day**)

They're not high-maintenance. They're not "hard cases." They just need a family without another dog already in the house (they'd all be cool with some crate time when the cousins visit). In exchange, you get a dog who will love you with everything they've got. Some are young adults and we've got a few seniors in this group, too.

Queenie and Mumbles waited 3.5 years. Someone finally looked past the "only dog" line and SAW them. Some of these faces have waited almost this long, too.

Calling all small breed puppy seekers (this hardly ever happens) 😍

🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶 We've got an urgent request for surrendering these (7!) beautiful little YORKIE mix 6-month old puppies! They've been well-cared for, but the older gentleman is having housing/financial issues and hasn't been able to get them vetted yet, and wants help getting them up to date and finding them homes before they perpetuate the cycle of their parents.

(We're also of course going to help get mom & dad fully vetted and fixed so no more puppies! 🚫)

We have an appointment for them first thing tomorrow to get up to date and need FOSTERS tomorrow! We have had a couple of our fosters step up, but if you want to help, (and/or might be in the market for a small breed puppy 😏) - this might be a win/win! The adoption fee will still apply, but we supply everything needed and you'd have first chance to adopt once they're ready shortly - after vetting, exams, prevention, etc. And if you take 2 or 3 for a short time, you can get to know them and CHOOSE the puppy you adopt by more than just looks!
