🏆 CONGRATULATIONS COACH ART! 🏆

The ROCE6 family is extremely proud to announce that our Program President, Arthur “Coach Art” Alvut, will be inducted into the 2026 Greater Rochester Lacrosse Hall of Fame!

Coach Art has dedicated 50+ years to lacrosse and countless hours to helping young people throughout Rochester.

For Arthur Alvut, it has always been about more than teaching the game. He has been a coach, mentor, advocate, resource, and consistent supporter for generations of young people and their families.

Through his work with ROCE6, he has helped expand access to lacrosse throughout Rochester and helped student-athletes secure more than $1.5 million in scholarships and grants.

We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate someone who has given so much of himself to our kids and our community.

Congratulations as well to the entire 2026 Hall of Fame Class: Grant Catalino, Kevin Curley, Ashley Friend, Domenica Lo Re Marino, and the 1997 Nazareth Men’s Team.

Another great ROC E6 Alumni Game! 🥍

This was our first alumni game using the box lacrosse system at the Thomas P. Ryan R-Center, and it was a great turnout.

We had alumni back who currently play or are on their way to compete at the JUCO, Division I, Division II, and Division III levels.

Huge shoutout to ROC E6 Ambassador Quaron Wright Qυαɾσɳ Wɾιɠԋƚ for planning the event and helping make it happen.

Always great seeing former players come back, compete, and stay connected to the ROC E6 family. 💙

Last week, ROC E6 Ambassadors Sean Buchanan and John Hart took visited several prestigious prep schools and Division I colleges throughout Pennsylvania.

Thanks to Mike Stone and Prep School Sports Connection, the trip included meetings with coaches and admissions staff from Wyoming Seminary, The Hill School, College, and Lehigh University. These visits gave both student-athletes the opportunity to experience campus life, build relationship, and gain insight into the academic and athletic expectations at college and prep school.

As the NCAA moves toward a 5-in-5 eligibility model, these conversations are becoming even more important. For many high-level student-athletes, a postgraduate (PG) year can provide an additional opportunity for academic growth, development, and athletic exposure before beginning college. It can also better position student-athletes to take full advantage of five years of athletic eligibility, giving many the opportunity to complete both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree during their collegiate careers.

At ROCE6, we believe sometimes all it takes is stepping onto a college campus, meeting the right people, and seeing what’s possible. These experiences help our student-athletes make informed decisions about their futures—both on the field and in the classroom.

A special thank you to Mike Stone and Prep School Sport Connections for investing in our student-athletes and creating opportunities that extend far beyond the game. We also appreciate the coaches and admissions staffs who welcomed Sean and John to their campuses.

This is what ROC E6 is all about—using athletics to open doors and create pathways to higher education.

🥍 Taylor Granison | Class of 2028 🥍

Taylor Granison put together an impressive summer, competing at tournaments, college prospect days, and elite camps across the region.

A lockdown defender with great instincts, physicality, and composure, Taylor consistently proved she can compete against high-level talent. As the recruiting window approaches for the Class of 2028, she’s positioning herself as a legitimate Division I prospect to watch.

From one of our first players to helping lead the next generation. 💙🥍

In 2006, London Booker was a seventh grader who found an opportunity to play lacrosse through ROC E6.

Twenty years later, he's still here—now as a coach, mentor, educator, and leader helping provide the next generation of Rochester youth with the same opportunities that helped shape his journey.

Our story was recently featured in Better Magazine, highlighting something we have believed from the beginning: When young people are given access, mentorship, opportunity, and adults who consistently show up, sports can become a vehicle for so much more.

We're proud of how far we've come, grateful for everyone who helped us get here, and excited about where the next generation will take us.

Thank you to the Make It Better Foundation for sharing our story and shining a light on the power of community-based youth sports.

20 years. Generations of student-athletes. One mission.

Not too long ago, London Booker was driving through Rochester when something made him stop. In an abandoned lot, a group of kids was running lacrosse drills, fully equipped, calling out plays, and moving with confidence. He hit the brakes, put the car in reverse, and asked what they were doing. Thei...
