As temperatures continue to rise across the country, workers are once again facing dangerous and often deadly heat conditions on the job. This summer is shaping up to be another excruciating season for workers, especially in construction, warehouses, agriculture, airports, restaurants, delivery work, manufacturing, and other high heat industries. We need to be ready.
National COSH and their esteemed partners at UCLA Labor Occupational Safety and Health (LOSH) invite you to join two free virtual Heat Safety 101 teach-ins this week focused on preventing heat illness at work. These trainings are open to all workers, organizers, advocates, worker centers, unions, and community leaders.
Participants will gain practical tools, organizing resources, and critical knowledge to take back to their workplaces and communities to help protect workers this summer.
