🎃☀️ Summerween was a success!

We had such a beautiful evening at Aberdeen Park with food, games, crafts, lots of happy kids and an outdoor movie to end the night. Best of all, the rain held off!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun, welcoming community event.

Roc The Potluck Project is here to create more free, community centered events and welcome new faces! And a reminder: after attending at least one Potluck Project event, you’re welcome to work with us to host your own event as long as it follows our Code of Conduct.

Summerween is happening TODAY from 5–8 PM at Aberdeen Park!

We’ll have food, snacks, desserts, crafts, party games and an outdoor movie closer to sunset.

Costumes are totally welcome, so come dressed up if you want!

If you’re able to, please bring a Halloween-themed dish to share. Homemade or store bought is totally fine!

We’ll have pop-up tents ready in case of rain, so we’re planning to go rain or shine unless there are severe thunderstorms.

And a quick reminder that our Potluck Code of Conduct applies to everyone who attends so please help us keep the space welcoming, respectful and clean.

No RSVP needed. Just come hang out and celebrate Summerween with us! 🎃🧡

Join us for a Summerween Potluck & Movie Night hosted by The Potluck Project & the Smythe Family!

📅 Saturday, August 22
🕔 5:00–8:00 PM
📍 Aberdeen Park

Celebrate Halloween… in August! 👻

🎭 Costumes are welcome (but totally optional!)
🍽️ If you’re able, bring a Halloween themed dish to share. Homemade or store bought.
🎬 We’ll end the evening with an outdoor movie, so bring a blanket or lawn chair!

This event is free, family friendly and open to everyone. Whether you’ve been to every potluck or this is your first, we’d love to see you there.

No RSVP required, just come as you are!

Our next Potluck Project gathering is coming up!

Topic:“Pluralism: Beyond ‘Us vs. Them’”

Saturday, May 23rd at 3 PM

This will be an open conversation about community, coexistence and understanding across differences. The kind of discussion that feels especially important right now.

As always, this is a potluck style gathering. If you’d like to bring a dish, we’d love that, but bringing food is absolutely not required to attend.

Any food is welcome:homemade, store-bought, family recipes, comfort foods, snacks, desserts, vegan or non-vegan.

If you do bring something, we ask that you include: a brief note or history about the dish and a list of ingredients for allergy awareness

During introductions, we’ll invite anyone who wants to share a little about what they brought.

The Potluck Project Presents

“Action is the Antidote to Climate Anxiety”
Saturday, April 25th at 3:00 PM

We’re gathering again - this time for an Earth Day inspired potluck focused on connection, conversation and simple local action.

Here’s what to expect:
A shared community meal (bring a dish if you can)
A neighborhood clean up walk (supplies pending from the city!)
A guided conversation on local food + how to source more from nearby producers

No pressure, no perfection, just showing up meeting neighbors and doing something small together that matters.
