Freshman get a new Chromebook!

Freshman get a new Chromebook!

Chromebook device deployment is taking place Aug. 5-6, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the RCS Administration Center.

Device deployment is ONLY for the following student groups.

• All new-to-RCS students in grades 1-12 are required to obtain an RCS Chromebook at a device deployment session. Kindergarten students will receive their devices in the classroom and do not need to attend.

• All students entering grade 6 should attend a device deployment for updated equipment. Incoming sixth graders left their Chromebooks at school at the end of fifth grade, so families will not bring anything to the deployment.

• All students entering grade 9 should attend a device deployment to exchange their current Chromebook and original Dell charger for updated technology.

No action is needed for all other student groups.

Get a head start by deleting your old Parent & Student Vue apps and logging into the new one.

Get a head start by deleting your old Parent & Student Vue apps and logging into the new one.

For the 2026-27 school year, Rochester Community Schools will use updated and improved versions of the ParentVUE and StudentVUE mobile apps for student grades, attendance and assignments. Current versions of the mobile apps are being retired and will not be functional.

The new apps offer the same functionality as the web-based versions. The web-based versions of ParentVUE and StudentVUE are not changing and can be accessed at: https://ow.ly/Bh1l50Zupr8.

To continue service and access from the apps, families can install ParentVUE (New), identified with a purple icon, and StudentVUE (New), identified by a green icon. Both can be found in the App Store for iPhone and the Google Play Store for Android.

For ParentVUE/StudentVUE users who have previously logged in to the app …

1. If you already have an account, your login information remains the same.

2. Choose “Rochester Community Schools.” If asked for zip code, enter 48307.

3. When prompted with: “Do you have an activation key, and would you like to activate your account?” Select “Already Activated.”

Additional information about ParentVUE and StudentVUE is available on the district website at: https://ow.ly/HucN50Zupr9.
