We partner with other non-profits, businesses and individuals to share the love of Christ with children living in poverty by meeting their needs.

Supplies get a child to the first day. Learning is what carries them through the year. 📚

That is why our mission does not end when the backpacks are handed out. Through Connecting Children to Christ Tutoring, we work one on one with students, including with reading specialists, so a strong start becomes a strong year.

Reading is the door. When a child can read, they can learn anything.

School is starting across Michigan. 🍎

For some families, that means new shoes and a full backpack. For others, it means quietly hoping their child has what they need to keep up.

That gap is why we do this work. Every child deserves to walk in ready to learn and ready to belong.

The first day of school leaves a mark. 🍎

For a lot of us, one small thing made it feel special. New supplies lined up the night before. A favorite outfit. A teacher who learned your name right away.

For the children we serve across Southeast Michigan, we want every first day to feel that way: ready, welcomed, and seen.

Come out and change the rules of a softball game.

On Sunday, September 13, teams from Macomb Foster Closet and Gifts For All God's Children take the field, and the fans decide how it goes. Make an auction style donation and you can put a silly rule into play right in the middle of an inning. The people in the bleachers have the biggest impact of anyone at this game.

Bring a camp chair, bring the family, and stay after for the ballpark meal, free with donations accepted. There is no cost to attend. Just register so we know to expect you. Every dollar goes to children right here at home, and last year this game raised over $7,000.

Being ready for the first day is about more than supplies. 📓

It is walking in with your head up. It is belonging. It is the quiet confidence of knowing you have what you need.

For many of the children we serve, that readiness is not a given. It is a gift, made possible by a community that believes every child deserves a strong start.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

Here is to every child stepping into a new year seen, valued, and ready.

Thank you to everyone who shopped our wish list, dropped off supplies, and shared the drive with a friend. Every backpack and every pencil came from someone who decided a child they may never meet was worth showing up for.

That is the heart of this ministry. We are grateful to walk with you in it.

Our backpack and school supply drive runs through August 11, and this is the list that fills a bag:

✏️ Backpacks, 15 to 17 inch
📓 Composition and spiral notebooks, wide rule filler paper
📁 2-pocket folders and a 1 inch 3-ring binder
✏️ #2 pencils, mechanical pencils, colored pencils, and crayons
🖊️ Pens in black, blue, and red, plus highlighters and dry erase markers
✂️ Blunt scissors, glue sticks, erasers, a ruler, a pencil pouch, and a sharpener with a lid
