We are excited to announce that our annual Holiday Party is open for registration! ☃

Enjoy a day packed with festive fun and sensory-friendly activities:
Board games
Karaoke
Dancing
Live DJ
Crafts table
Food provided

Space is very limited. Please register a parent or caregiver only if the autistic individual requires continuous 1:1 support, as OUCARES volunteers will be available to assist. There is a $15 registration fee for any parent/caregiver attending.
When: Saturday, December 5th, 1pm-4pm

The Ted Lindsay Foundation is looking for volunteers for their annual Halloween party! The party is a big celebration, welcoming 250+ autistic individuals and their loved ones for a day of trick-or-treating in the Halloween Village.

Sunday, Oct. 18th
12pm-3pm
Club Venetian in Madison Heights

If you’re looking for specific services for an individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder or their family, you can share your request and we will post it to help promote the request to our community. If you’re a service provider or have skills you’d like to offer, whether its babysitting, therapy, mentoring, or simply being a supportive parent to talk to, we can post your services for those in need!

Have you heard of Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) or wondered what echolalia really means? Join us for an informative presentation exploring how some individuals develop language through meaningful phrases, scripts, and echolalia.

Participants will learn how to recognize and better understand these unique forms of communication, while gaining practical strategies to support language development in ways that respect and honor each individual’s communication style.
