We wanted to share with you some events happening this weekend that are easy ways to support BRWC!

If you grocery shop, this is for you.

If you drive a car, this is for you.

If you ride a motorcycle, this is for you.

If you like to eat good BBQ, this is for you.

The Mineral Springs Annual Ride for Life & Cruz-In & the Spirit FM Annual Diaper Drive are taking place Saturday morning 5/30!

The Ride for Life registration begins at 9:00 AM for all vehicles. Bikes and Cars participating in the ride will leave Mineral Springs Baptist Church at 9:40 AM and return to Mineral Springs for a BBQ lunch and raffle! All proceeds will go towards the work here at Blue Ridge Women’s Center.

$15 per vehicle, it’s a great way to spend a Saturday morning!

Then if you’re out doing your grocery shopping…

The Spirit FM Diaper Drive will be taking place at the Clearbrook Walmart 9 AM-Noon. Stop by during your shopping to drop off diapers sizes 3-6, wipes, pacifiers, baby lotion, and diaper cream.

Thank you all so much for all your participation! Hope to see some of you tomorrow!

Meet Becky and Sean—two of our amazing supporters. A couple of weeks ago, they joined us at our annual Walk for Life, which was admittedly much shorter and slower than what Becky undertook this past weekend. She completed 178 miles, FKT () on a section of the Alleghany Trail and Greenbrier River Trail and raised over $2,000 in sponsorship for BRWC. We're so proud of her and thankful she chose to use this passion of running to serve and help women and men in the Roanoke Valley!

Join us on Saturday, May 30th at 9AM for the Mineral Springs Springs Annual Ride for Life and Cruz-In! Stay after for a BBQ lunch, prize drawing, silent auction, a ticket drawing in the fellowship hall.

We are so grateful for Mineral Springs Baptist Church and the Reborn Riders team for coordinating this annual event to support BRWC.

Hey BRWC friends,

We wanted to let you know about the wonderful outcome from our GIVE Roanoke campaign.... you all raised $18,226.83! This was $3,226.83 OVER our goal of $15,000. This extra overage allowed us to purchase additional billboards in strategic areas to offer needed reproductive health information to women in our community. In total, you sponsored 5 billboards, two of which will remain up the entire year! This is praiseworthy! Your dollar is truly making an impact on our community.

We're so thankful for the turnout last Saturday for our Walk for Life!

You all raised $117,000.47!! This is so praiseworthy!

Our top fundraising Teams:
In first place, First Evangelical Presbyterian Church with $8,441.00 (Wow!)
In second place, Providence Presbyterian Church with $5,981.15
In third place, Living Water Christian Church with $5,208.58

Also must mention our top fundraising Walkers:
In first place, Katie & Family Fagan raising $3,106.50
In second place, Joan Murano raising $2,237.50
In third place, Chris Kirmse raising $2,000.00

It is truly such a joy to witness God provide for our every need. 1 Corinthians 3:9 reminds us that we are co-workers with God—a beautiful invitation to partner with Him in His work — including when raising support for Walk for Life. Thank you, Walk for Life teams and walkers for your heart for the Lord and this ministry!!!

With our current standing today, we are just shy of the $120,000 Walk goal. In fact, we're 97% of the way there. We are leaving the donation link open and invite you to make one final push to your friends and family to help meet or exceed your personal Walk for Life goal.

Almost four years ago, we shared that BRWC welcomed a new storyteller when Lindsey Ward Callahan joined our team as Development Director. As God prepares Lindsey for her next assignment, He is also preparing all of us at Blue Ridge Women’s Center for an exciting new chapter.

It is with great joy that we announce Lynette Mull has stepped into the role of Development Director. Lynette will help guide and strengthen our development efforts as we continue moving forward in our new location.

Lynette brings many years of experience in marketing, public relations, and resource development. Her background includes securing donations for engineering research and education, directing marketing communication programs for large medical groups, and helping community nonprofits establish and expand their development programs. For the past eight years, she has served as Director of Strategic Development for Gentle Shepherd Hospice.

We are expectant and excited to see how God will use Lynette along with the development team to foster and grow relationships within our churches and community, and most importantly, with you! Lynette’s professional experience, combined with her love for the Lord and passion for the unborn, makes her a wonderful fit for the mission and culture of BRWC.

Please join us in welcoming Lynette to the BRWC family. We are deeply thankful for your prayers, encouragement, and faithful support as we continue serving women and families in our community.
