The Tristan Project

The Tristan Project The Tristan Project was created in loving memory of Tristan Brown.

Our mission is to honor his legacy by sharing Christ’s hope and providing support to kids in our community who are struggling with mental health.

September is Su***de Prevention Month. 💜

And at The Tristan Project, we're not going to let this month pass by with just a graphic and a hashtag.

We're going to TALK about it.

We're going to talk about the kids who are struggling quietly.

The parents who know something has changed but don't know what to do.

The warning signs we sometimes don't recognize until we're looking backward.

The financial barriers that keep families from getting help.

And the importance of reaching our kids BEFORE they're in crisis.

Our Year Two goal is to help 100 children receive mental health support and resources.

Because su***de prevention isn't only about what happens in a crisis.

It's about what we do before one.

This month, let's talk about it. Let's learn. Let's listen. And let's remind our kids that asking for help is NEVER something to be ashamed of. 💜❤️

💜 TRISTAN’S 16 — YEAR TWO

One year ago, The Tristan Project began with a promise: Tristan’s story would not end when his life did.

As we enter Year Two, we’re building a community of 100 people committed to helping us carry Tristan’s legacy forward.

We’re calling them Tristan’s 16. 💜

The commitment is simple:

$16 a month for one year.

Why 16?

Because Tristan was 16.

Sixteen years was not nearly enough—but those 16 years mattered. His life mattered. And through The Tristan Project, his legacy will continue helping other young people know that their lives matter, too.

A commitment of $16 a month equals $192 over one year.

If 100 people become part of Tristan’s 16, together that provides $19,200 over the next year to help us support youth, remove barriers to mental-health care, provide resources to families, and show up for kids who need someone in their corner.

But Tristan’s 16 isn't really about a number.

It's about the child who needs help.

The parent who doesn't know where to turn.

The family facing a barrier between their child and the care they need.

It's about having the resources to step in and say:

“We're here. You matter. Your life matters.”

You don't have to change the whole world.

Help us change one young person's world.

💜 16 years.
🦋 100 supporters.
🙏 One legacy.

Will you become one of Tristan’s 16?

Join us with a commitment of $16/month for one year and help us carry Tristan's legacy into Year Two.

💜 ONE YEAR. AND WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED.

Today marks one year of The Tristan Project.

One year of saying his name.
One year of carrying his legacy.
One year of turning heartbreak into purpose.

And today, we're not just celebrating how far we've come.

We're making a promise for where we're going next.

💜 In Year Two, our goal is to help 100 kids get access to the mental-health care they need.

100 kids who need someone to show up.
100 families who shouldn't have to figure it out alone.
100 opportunities to remove a barrier and make a difference.

This is the 100 Kids Year Two Initiative.

It's the biggest commitment we've made since starting The Tristan Project—and we're going to need our community beside us to make it happen.

Because this has never been about building a nonprofit.

It's about building something that changes lives.

If Tristan's legacy can be the reason one more child gets the help they need, then we will keep carrying it as far as God allows us to.

And this year, we're believing for 100. 💜

100 KIDS. 365 DAYS. ONE MISSION.

Year Two starts now.

It’s not always easy, but I do it for Tristan. He deserved to live. He deserved to chase his dreams, but since he can’t, I’ll spend the rest of my life making sure his dreams come true. 💜

For seven days, we've looked back at where The Tristan Project started, what this community has helped us accomplish, why this mission matters and the legacy behind every single thing we do.

Tomorrow, we stop looking back.

And we show you where we're going.

We've set the biggest goal in the history of The Tristan Project.

It's bold.

It's going to take all of us.

And if we accomplish it, Year Two will impact more young lives than ever before.

Tomorrow, you'll finally know what we've been working toward.

YEAR TWO BEGINS TOMORROW. 💜

And we're just getting started.

One year. One mission. A legacy that keeps growing. 💜

What started from heartbreak has reached over 400,000 people, raised more than $15,000, and opened doors we never imagined.

But this has never been about the numbers. It’s about the kids, the families, the conversations, and keeping Tristan’s name alive.

This is only the beginning. 💜🦋

How do you put an entire year into one post?

There are so many moments from the first year of The Tristan Project that we will never forget.

We watched an idea born from heartbreak become a mission that reached farther than we ever imagined.

Over the past year, our events and community outreach have reached more than 400,000 people.

We've had the opportunity to share Tristan's story and the mission behind The Tristan Project through 16 news interviews, 3 radio shows, a podcast, a documentary, and an article published by Newsweek.

And because people believed in what we were doing, more than $15,000 was raised to help us continue this work.

Those are numbers I never imagined I would be able to write after only one year.

But the moments we'll remember most can't be measured by a number.

We'll remember the kids we met.

The families who trusted us.

The conversations that reminded us why this work matters.

The people who showed up.

The businesses that said yes.

The communities that welcomed us.

And every single time we heard someone speak Tristan's name.

A year ago, we didn't know how far his legacy would reach.

Today, we know this is only the beginning.

Year One gave us moments we'll never forget.
Year Two is going to give us a mission we'll never forget. 💜

2 days.

Some days it’s meetings. Some days it’s phone calls, emails, planning, praying, and figuring it out as I go.

But every single day, I know WHY I’m doing it. ❤️

The Tristan Project was born from the greatest heartbreak of my life, but I believe God can take what was meant to break us and use it for something bigger.

We’re building. We’re growing. We’re opening doors. And I’m not stopping.

For Tristan. For his legacy. And for every child who needs someone fighting for them. 💜🦋
