As Madison United Soccer Association continues to grow, we want to take a moment to recognize someone who has poured countless hours into making our recreational program what it is today.

A huge thank you to Matt Vaughn for his years of dedication, leadership, and service as our Director of Recreational Soccer. From organizing seasons and supporting coaches to helping create a positive experience for hundreds of players and families, Matt has been an incredible asset to our club and community.

We’re also excited to congratulate Matt on his well-deserved promotion in his professional career. While we’ll certainly miss his leadership in this role, we’re proud of him and grateful for everything he has done for Madison United Soccer. We wish him nothing but continued success in this next chapter.

With Matt’s transition, Madison United Soccer Association is now accepting applications for our Director of Recreational Soccer position. If you have a passion for youth sports, enjoy serving families, and want to make a lasting impact on the largest entry point into our club, we’d love to hear from you.

⚽ Meet the Coaches of the Madison United Developmental Academy! ⚽

We are excited to introduce the coaching staff that will lead our NEW Madison United Developmental Academy this fall!
Our academy is built around developing confident, skilled, and passionate young players in a positive learning environment.

These coaches bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and a genuine love for helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.

Rachel Poynter – Head Coach
Select Rep of the Madison United Flyers Program, US Soccer D Licensed coach, and current US Soccer C License candidate. Rachel is passionate about building strong technical foundations and helping players develop confidence, tactical awareness, and a lifelong love of the game.

Grace Moore – Assistant Coach
A former player and experienced youth coach, Grace is dedicated to helping players build technical skills, confidence, and game understanding. She brings energy, enthusiasm, and a player-centered approach to every training session.

Aaron Flynn – Assistant Coach
A longtime MUSA coach and soccer parent, Aaron is committed to creating a positive, supportive environment where players can develop their skills, grow their confidence, and foster a lasting passion for soccer.

Together, this coaching team shares a common goal: providing age-appropriate player development opportunities while creating a fun, challenging, and encouraging environment for every athlete.
