Allah said: “It is neither their meat nor blood that reaches Allah but your taqwa.”

For those who fasted: taqabbal Allah.
For those who gave: taqabbal Allah.
For those who stood on Arafah: taqabbal Allah.

The Qurbani window is still open. Feed a family this Eid in a place where meat is a rare blessing.

The Messenger ﷺ fasted the Day of Arafah every single year of his life that he wasn’t on Hajj.

The Sunnah is clear:
🕋 If you’re on Hajj → don’t fast
🌙 If you’re NOT on Hajj → fast

That’s it.

Today is the Day of Arafah. If you can fast even part of it, do it. There is no greater day to fast in the entire year.

These days were placed in your calendar for a reason and so was this post. They are days of mercy. Days where Allah turns to those who turn to Him.

“Do not despair of the mercy of Allah.” (Quran 39:53)

Did Allah actually want Ibrahim ﷺ to slaughter his son?

No.

If He did, He wouldn’t have replaced Ismail ﷺ with a ram at the last moment.

So what was the point?

It was never about the blade. It was about the heart.

Allah was teaching Ibrahim ﷺ that the deepest, most exclusive love in his heart could only belong to Him not even to his own son.

The real sacrifice happened before the knife was lifted.

What would you do if it was your own grandfather?

This is someone’s grandfather. Nearly 90 years old. He should be resting but he’s still fighting to feed himself each night.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “He is not one of us who does not show mercy to our young and respect our elders.” (Tirmidhi)

This is the test. The 10 most blessed days of the year are here. Every act of sadaqah is multiplied.
