RICH CITY Rides

RICH CITY Rides We use bicycles as vehicles for healthy civic change.

Rich City Rides, a counterculture organization founded in August 2012 to counterbalance non-human infrastructure with human infrastructure by encouraging people to the utilize the most significant asset in any city; the street. In a time when people living in marginalized communities are most at risk for poor health, lack of activity, lack of opportunity, poor nutrition and subject to living in ar

eas with the highest levels of pollution, Rich City Rides uses bicycles to create possibilities for the most vulnerable members of the cycling community to improve health, economic stability and individual and collective capacity. Through direct engagement with people using mindful, active transportation we galvanize communities and reconnect disconnected neighborhoods.

WE NEED A PLACE. 🖤

A place where Black people can gather, breathe, heal, create, move, learn, celebrate, and simply be.

We’re working to secure 1525 Ohio Avenue and transform it into the Black Wellness Hub; a permanent community space rooted in Black wellness, cultural intimacy, creativity, and collective care.

Imagine:

🌱 Rooftop gardens
🧘🏿 Meditation & wellness spaces
💃🏿 Dance & movement studios
📚 Classrooms & learning spaces
🎨 Creative spaces for artists and makers
🤝🏿 Flexible space for gatherings, healing, ideas, and community

But before we can build the vision, we have to secure the place.

That’s why we’re asking you to invest in the future of 1525 Ohio.

A monthly gift of $10, $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can sustain helps us build the community of support needed to move this vision forward.

🖤 Join us in building the Black Wellness Hub.

Invest in permanence.
