📖 In addition to hearing Narita read aloud from her popular Zola children's books, we will have crafts and snacks.

📌 This event is free and open to all ages! ASL interpreters will be provided; please indicate on your registration form if you would like to request a Cued Language Transliterator.

🎁 Virginia Hands & Voices is excited to host not one but TWO very special holiday parties this year in two separate locations, so you can choose the best event to suit your family!

🌲 Hampton Roads, mark your calendars for Saturday, December 12 from 2-4pm at Church of the Good Shepherd in Norfolk.

❄️ Northern Virginia, save the date for Saturday, December 19 at NVRC in Oakton, VA.

🔔 ASL interpreters will be available at each of these events; there will be an opportunity to request a Cued Language Transliterator when the registration forms are published.

🗓 More details to come; in the meantime, SAVE THE DATE and join us at one or both of these holiday celebrations!

✨ Board Member Spotlight on Teri Urban!

Did you know? Teri has been the fearless leader of Virginia Hands & Voices since she reestablished the chapter back in 2016.

A couple of fun facts:
📌 Teri also reestablished Vermont Hands & Voices way back in 2015!
📌 Virginia is the sixth state Teri has lived in, and her third state with a child who is deaf.

Teri says: "I love VA H&V because it has allowed me to connect with other families, network with stakeholders, share resources, understand special education systems and most importantly, allow my daughter to develop a strong deaf identity by understanding the community and culture she belongs to."

Thank you, Teri, for boldly and knowledgeably leading our chapter for so many years. You are GREATLY appreciated!

Virginia Hands & Voices needs your help! We are participating in the annual Hands & Voices 5K fundraiser to raise support for our state chapter to continue providing great events and resources to families.

Please sign up today and share with your friends. Every dollar from your registration will go towards helping Virginia Hands & Voices continue to offer free events.

Your registration includes a T-shirt and the first 300 registrants will receive a medal!

Be sure to select “Virginia Hands & Voices” when choosing your team in the registration process.
