A huge thank you to our Step UP RVA teams! We’re spotlighting our top 10 fundraising teams and top 10 largest teams from this year’s Step UP! The time, energy, and dedication you put into fundraising and bringing people together helped make our 20th anniversary celebration so special. 💙

The funds raised through Step UP help VDSA provide valuable programs, resources, and support to individuals with Down syndrome and their families throughout Virginia. Every dollar raised helps strengthen the community we serve, and we are so grateful for everyone who played a part in making that possible. 💙

RVA, thank you for such an incredible Step UP! This past weekend was a big one for our VDSA community as we celebrated 20 years of Step UP for Down Syndrome!

Seeing so many families come out in matching shirts, the colorful tutus, all the smiles, and Step N UP getting everyone hyped on the stage and dance floor made the day so special. Most of all, we loved seeing so many people enjoying time with their community and celebrating together.

To everyone who registered, participated, volunteered, sponsored, fundraised, or simply showed up to support someone they care about, THANK YOU. It takes so many people to make Step UP happen, and we are so grateful for every person who helped make this year's celebration such a success. 💙

Big news for one of our VDSA community babies! 🥹✨ Oliver has made it to the Quarterfinals of the 2026 Baby of the Year competition, and we are cheering him on all the way!

Representation matters. Seeing children with Down syndrome celebrated in spaces like this helps remind the world that every child deserves to be seen, valued, and celebrated. We are so excited to see Oliver reaching this milestone! 💙

The grand prize includes $25,000 and the opportunity to be featured in a national advertising campaign, including Variety magazine. And Oliver needs our help to keep moving forward!

Our Fredericksburg crew recently enjoyed a lovely fall outing, taking in the season and getting creative together afterward. 🌿 We’re so glad everyone had a chance to slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and spend quality time with friends. So many little monsters came out with their whole families dressed up and ready for some spooky fun at the Bubbles & Little Monsters Boo Bash! 👻🫧 Between arts and crafts, dancing, and plenty of Halloween giggles, we had a fa-boo-lous time making memories together! 🕸️🧡
