🚬 **Let’s curb cigarette litter—literally.**

Cigarette waste can be recycled through TerraCycle’s free, easy program. Collect fully extinguished cigarette butts, package them safely and use a free shipping label to send them for processing.

And during **LOVE VA**, every cigarette butt collected and reported counts toward our **Great Butt Roundup**!

Small item. Big litter problem.

The Great Butt Roundup is underway across Virginia! We’re asking volunteers, organizations and communities to collect cigarette butts during their cleanups, count what they find and report the results.

Every butt counted helps us document the scope of cigarette litter and build stronger prevention solutions across the Commonwealth.

Planning a cleanup? Add cigarette-butt collection—and don’t forget to report your results and send them in to be recycled TerraCycle US!

It was a blast to be part of the James River Association EcoFest this weekend! We gave out native Virginia wildflower seed packets, sustainability products, and had a flower pot decorating activity as part of getting ready for our fall LOVE VA Campaign with the CoStar Group that runs from September 15 - November 15. We enjoyed being part of the conversation at Clean Virginia Waterways 9th Annual Stormwater and Plastic Pollution Workshop earlier this week. So many good ideas, experiences, and expertise were shared, and we appreciate all the partners and work being done to mitigate and reduce the negative effects of plastics in the environment.
