A huge thank you to GFL Environmental for supporting our Green Grants Program through its Full Circle Project!

We were presented a check on site at Birdhouse Farmers Market in Richmond. In 2024, KVB awarded Birdhouse a Green Grant to construct their greenhouse featured in the photo.

We were proud to show how GFL Environmental’s support translates into impactful projects like the one at Birdhouse. We are grateful for our new partnership with GFL Environmental, and we look forward to doing more beautiful things together!

This summer we were awarded a grant from the Bama Works Fund of the Dave Matthews Band at Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. Funding will go directly toward supporting our SAVE student ambassadors who live in the Charlottesville area. We are grateful for the support of the Bama Works Fund so that we can grow the next generation of environmental stewards! Know a teen interested in caring for the environment? We are giving a BIG THANKS today to YMSL Richmond for their fantastic volunteer work with us! They helped assemble thousands of wildflower seed packets and conducted a litter cleanup with us this summer. We're excited to do even more with them this fall!

🐾 PICK UP WITH PUPS IS BACK! 🐾

Join Keep Virginia Beautiful and the Richmond SPCA on Saturday, September 19 from 10 AM–12 PM for a morning of doing good with some very good dogs! This is a "furtastic" kick-off litter cleanup for our annual statewide LOVE VA event.

We’ll hit the neighborhood surrounding the Richmond SPCA with adoptable pups leading the way while volunteers help pick up litter and leave their neighborhood cleaner and more beautiful. 💚

🧤 All cleanup supplies provided
👟 Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe walking shoes
🐶 Please leave your own pups at home — our adoptable Richmond SPCA friends will be joining us!
📍 Meet at the Richmond SPCA — look for Pick Up with Pups signs in front of the SPCA Hospital building.
