VHA advocates for the expansion of housing opportunities and ending homelessness in Virginia.

The Virginia Housing Alliance (VHA) advocates for the expansion of housing opportunities and ending homelessness throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. VHA is the only statewide organization that represents affordable housing and homelessness organizations and the clients they serve. VHA’s positions represent the collective and shared priorities of its members. VHA empowers its members and supporters through advocacy, education, professional development, and capacity building.

Today we would like to recognize Olyvia Brown-Coles who was the recipient of one of our Virginia Housing Alliance Emerging Leader Awards. Olyvia is a housing systems leader, researcher, and practitioner dedicated to advancing equitable solutions to homelessness and housing instability. She serves as the Director of Homeless System Coordination at Miriam’s House in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she leads regional efforts to strengthen the homeless response system through coordinated entry, data and performance management, strategic planning, and cross-sector collaboration across the Central Virginia Continuum of Care. Congratulations, Olyvia!
