👣 Caring for Our Residents, One Step at a Time👣

At Fellowship Square, we are committed to bringing essential services directly to our residents. Last month, Dr. Rebecca Metz visited Hunters Woods Fellowship House to provide on-site podiatry care, helping residents maintain their comfort, mobility, and independence.

For many older adults, transportation and mobility challenges can make routine foot care difficult. Having this service available right in the community makes a meaningful difference.

Thank you to Dr. Metz and our Service Coordinators for helping our residents stay healthy, safe, and supported.

For more than 10 years, Cornerstones has delivered food twice a week to Fellowship Square residents — about 30 deliveries a month. Fellowship Square provides affordable housing for older adults.

David C., age 70, lives at Lake Ridge Fellowship House, one of Fellowship Square's affordable housing communities for older adults.

He wanted everyone to know how much he values the support he receives from Ahmad, our Service Coordinator — so he wrote a note, signed it, and asked that it be shared:

"An A+ leader... a rare person in the midst of people who are burdened with mental, emotional, and physical handicaps." — David C., who calls Ahmad his "Big Bro."

Lake Ridge Fellowship House, one of Fellowship Square's affordable housing communities for older adults, partnered with the Woodbridge Lions Club 24L for a free eye exam, where Nilda V., age 86, was referred for a full exam and received two pairs of glasses at no cost.

"Thank you very much! My mother is very happy with her glasses and grateful you were able to help her." — Williams V., Nilda's son.

Now, every time she sees a staff member, Nilda points to her glasses and says thank you — in Spanish, gratitude that needs no translation.

The Lake Ridge pantry provides food and household essentials to residents every month. Lake Ridge Fellowship House is one of Fellowship Square's affordable housing communities for older adults in Woodbridge.

"I really like having the pantry. It is very helpful for the residents. Items such as soap, shampoo, food, and canned goods come in handy at the end of the month," says Rita S., 65, a Lake Ridge resident.

Service Coordinator Ahmad Jalali developed a new system that captures real-time pantry data, which gives the team stronger information to guide planning and demonstrate impact.
