What does 60 years of compassion inspire in a community?
At our Tzu Chi Washington DC Region Office in Reston, VA, volunteers, community leaders, public officials, American Red Cross representatives, and longtime partners came together to celebrate the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation's 60th anniversary and the relationships that have strengthened compassionate service throughout Northern Virginia.
The event was an opportunity to reflect on how a mission that began with ordinary people setting aside a small daily donation has grown into a worldwide humanitarian movement. While Tzu Chi's reach has expanded across the globe, its guiding principle remains the same: transforming compassion into meaningful action that uplifts lives and brings communities together.
Here's to 60 years of serving with gratitude, love, and hope, and to the many lives still to be touched.
