🏕️ What a fantastic week at Summer Bear Camp! 🐻

Our Scouts spent 4 days and 3 nights packed with adventure, learning, and fun! Highlights included:

🚀 Building and launching rockets
🩹 First aid skills
🏊 Swimming
🛶 Canoeing
🎯 BBs, slingshot and archery
🎣 Fishing
🥾 Hiking
🔪 Whittling
😄 Jokes and skits
🧭 Orienteering
🎨 Handicrafts
🔥 Campfire fun

So proud of our rising Bears for diving into every activity with enthusiasm! 🤩

⚾🏕️ SCOUT NIGHT AT THE KEYS — WHAT A NIGHT! 🏕️⚾

Pack 1169 took the field (literally!) at Nymeo Field last night for Frederick Keys Scout Night, and it did not disappoint! 🎉

✨ Highlights from the night:
🚩 Marching in the pre-game Scout Parade
🎂 Celebrating Keyote’s Birthday
🏃 Kids Run the Bases after the game
🎆 Fireworks lighting up the sky
🎁 Keyote bobblehead giveaways
⛺ Camping out under the stars on the outfield, complete with a movie on the big screen!

A huge thank you to all our Scout families who came out and made it such a memorable evening — from cheering in the stands to waking up on the outfield grass this morning! 💙💛

Pack 1169, you bring the energy everywhere we go. Can’t wait for our next adventure!

🚨EXPIRED = Youth Protection Training (YPT) on May 31, 2026🚨
🚨OVERDUE = The new Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT)🚨

Youth Protection Training (YPT) has been replaced by the new Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT). Every registered leader must have taken SYT by May 31, 2026, to continue to participate in Scouting.

Failure to have taken the course means:
⛔Suspension of your account
⛔No access to Scoutbook Plus
⛔No participation in unit activities as a leader (including meetings, outdoor activities, service projects, summer camp, etc.)

💻Once completed it can typically take 24-48hrs for the course to show on your account.

⚠️If you have not taken the NEW SYT full 90 Minute course, you MUST TAKE THAT FIRST before you can take the refresher to get full SYT credit.

🎖️✨ What an incredible weekend for Pack 1169! ✨
This past weekend at Burke Lake Park, our Scouts officially marked the end of a fantastic Cub Scout year with our Spring Pack Campout & Bridging Ceremony — and it was everything we hoped for and more!

Our Scouts crossed over to their next ranks in a meaningful ceremony surrounded by family and friends, received well-earned awards, and made memories around the campfire with skits, s’mores, fishing, and so much more. 🏕️🎣🔥

But none of it would have been possible without the incredible people behind the scenes. We want to take a moment to give a HUGE thank you to our amazing den leaders, assistant den leaders, committee members, and volunteers who give their time, energy, and heart to this pack week after week, year after year. 💙💛

Pack 1169 is truly lucky to have such dedicated leaders and volunteers. Here’s to a wonderful year and an even better one ahead! 🌟

Think you've got what it takes to build the fastest car on the track? Dust off your woodworking skills, channel your inner race engineer, and come ready to compete (and maybe trash talk a little 😄). Plus — silent auction, prizes, and all the racing drama you can handle. This is a Pack fundraiser, so every registration supports our Scouts!

🏎️💨 Vroom vroom, Pack 1169! 💨🏎️

What an AMAZING Pinewood Derby! Our Scouts brought their A-game — and some seriously fast cars — to one of the most exciting races we’ve had yet! The competition was fierce, the cheering was loud, and the smiles were HUGE! 🏆

A huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible volunteers who made this event possible. From setting up the track to keeping the races running smoothly, none of this happens without your time, energy, and dedication. You are the heart of our Pack! ❤️

Whether your Scout took home a trophy or learned what they’d do differently next time, every single one of them should be incredibly proud. The real win? Watching these kids pour their creativity and hard work into something they built with their own hands. 🛠️✨

Here’s to Pack 1169 — keeping the Pinewood Derby tradition alive and rolling! 🚀
