For more than 30 years, DTC has helped working families overcome one of the biggest barriers they face: access to quality early childhood care.

Our Hearts Are With Nepal 🇳🇵

Just days ago, Devotion To Children had the privilege of spending a wonderful Saturday with children and families from Northern Virginia’s Nepali community, sharing backpacks, school supplies, smiles and a celebration of children.

Tonight, our thoughts are very different.

We are heartbroken by the devastating images and reports coming from Nepal following the catastrophic flooding and landslides that have taken lives, displaced families and left so many still waiting for news of loved ones.

To our friends in the Nepali community here in Northern Virginia, and to families everywhere with loved ones in Nepal: please know that we are thinking of you.

We hope for the safety of those still missing, strength for the families enduring unimaginable uncertainty, and courage for the rescuers and communities working through this tragedy.

Saturday reminded us that communities can be separated by thousands of miles and still be very close to one another.

What a wonderful Children’s Day! ❤️

Days like this remind us what Devotion To Children is really about: children, families and a community that cares about them.

Our heartfelt thanks to the many volunteers who gave their time and energy, to our community partners, sponsors and donors whose generosity made the day possible, and to everyone who helped fill backpacks, organize activities, welcome families and create a day filled with smiles.

But most of all, thank you to the families and children who joined us. You are the reason we were there.

A backpack may help a child begin the school year prepared. A balloon or a painted face may create a smile. But behind all of it is something much bigger, the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to begin life with support, dignity and possibility.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Children’s Day such a special day. Together, we can do so much more.

🎒 DTC Annual Children’s Day Is Almost Here!

As the new school year approaches, every child deserves to begin the year feeling confident, prepared, and ready to learn. For many working families, however, the cost of school supplies can be one challenge too many.

This year, Devotion to Children is working to provide 200 children with backpacks and essential school supplies.

A backpack is more than a backpack.

It is a fresh start.
It is confidence.
It is a reminder that our community believes in every child’s potential.

At Devotion to Children, we are still celebrating a massive milestone! Through our wonderful partnership with IREX and the Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program, we have had the privilege of hosting some of the world’s brightest global leaders, Hani Zaini & Dalinna Chea.

Today, we want to give a special shoutout to one of our very own: our phenomenal intern, Hani Zaini! We are bursting with pride to share that Hani was recently honored with the prestigious Blue Ribbon Award! 🎀

To put into perspective how monumental this is: Hani was selected as one of just 4 recipients out of 102 exceptional cohort members this year. 🌍✨
