Step 1, Inc. is proud to share that we’ve received an $8,184 grant from Food Bank of Northern Nevada through their Partner Agency Capacity Building Initiative! 🙌

This funding allowed us to replace aging refrigeration equipment with a new freezer and client refrigerator ensuring safe, reliable storage for perishable food and helping us avoid the risk of losing vital supplies. As much of our food comes from FBNN, dependable equipment is essential to continuing to serve healthy, nutritious meals to our clients.

We recently welcomed FBNN Strategic Gifts Advisor Connor Bush and donor Thomas Bottom for a tour, where we highlighted the impact of this partnership and showcased our new equipment.

We’re grateful for FBNN’s ongoing support in strengthening our ability to serve our community!

Big news for Step1 Recovery in Reno, Nevada! Step 1 Executive Director Pellissier and Transitional Housing Administrator Harold Michael, PRSS, joined Renown Health Leadership and 64 other non-profit administrators to celebrate local organizations working to address the area’s most critical health care needs and build a healthier Nevada.

"Renown Health is investing more than $1 million in 65 local organizations to expand our not-for-profit mission to improve the health of our community,” said Chris Nicholas, chief operating officer for Renown Health and CEO of Renown Regional Medical Center.

This will support the Northern Nevada community immensely. Providing our services with data driven structured approaches that connects individuals with the services they need to support their recovery. This can include assessment, planning, linkage, monitoring, and advocacy to address the various challenges faced by clients

On March 7, Step 1 Recovery celebrated its 34th Anniversary & Awards Dinner, honoring partners and individuals making a meaningful impact in recovery.
