Creative writing is an important part of the recovery journey at STEP2, providing women with an opportunity to reflect, heal, and find their voice. Twice each year, those voices are brought together in Step by Step, a collection of writings created by our residents.

This summer marks the publication of our 13th edition, and we couldn't be more proud of the courage, honesty, and growth reflected in these pages.

When a new resident reaches 10 days of sobriety, we celebrate! Each woman receives a sash and tiara to wear throughout the day--a fun and meaningful reminder of the hard work, courage, and determination it took to get there.

For many, this milestone is something they haven't experienced in a long time. It's a moment to be recognized, encouraged, and reminded that recovery IS possible. 💖

Today, we celebrate all mothers--those holding their children close, those preparing to welcome new life, first-time moms, experienced moms, mothers navigating difficult days, and mothers carrying love for children they are missing today.

Motherhood takes strength, courage, sacrifice, and an endless capacity for love. It shapes families, creates hope, and has the power to change generations.
