The mission of The Generator is to continuously build a creative community by offering a safe and supportive space where people can share knowledge, explore interests and follow their curiosity. We are an open and accepting environment where all are welcome regardless of background, skills, education or experience. We believe that the personal growth of the individual leads to the evolution of bot
h the greater community and the work it produces. We have industrial equipment and tools, artist mentorship resources , 3 phase power, and 70,000 square feet of workspace. We share our collective know-how and we hope to learn from yours. We're here to encourage professional artists and beginners alike to make art and to learn from each other as a creative community. We have a woodshop, metalshop, tech lab, textile lab, art making station, day use areas and community spaces. We currently have over 45 local artists as studio artists, working year-round and had the opportunity to host 16 BurningMan build projects in 2022. The Generator is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-7pm for inquires on membership. We have public tours every Thursday and Saturday from 10am - 6pm, with no appointment necessary.
