Nevada Agriculture Had a Voice in Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸

Thank you to Cindy Hardy, Mary Jane Zakas, and Janille Baker for advocating on behalf of Nevada farmers, ranchers, and rural communities during the American Farm Bureau Federation Women's Leadership ACE Summit.

Nevada Farm Bureau is proud to recognize and celebrate three outstanding leaders representing Nevada agriculture at the American Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Leadership ACE Summit in Washington, D.C.

Congratulations to Cindy Hardy, Chair of the Nevada Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee and member of Clark County Farm Bureau; Mary Jane Zakas, Vice Chair of the Women’s Leadership Committee and member of Central Nevada Farm Bureau; and Janille Baker of White Pine County Farm Bureau.

As we recognize the International Year of the Woman Farmer, these dedicated agricultural leaders spent the day on Capitol Hill meeting with Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen, as well as representatives from the office of Congressman Steven Horsford, discussing the issues that matter most to Nevada’s farmers, ranchers, and rural communities.

Nevada Farm Bureau is inviting members to participate in the American Farm Bureau Federation's Summer Cookout Survey, taking place June 1–7!

Help us track the retail cost of foods commonly used to feed 10 people at a summer cookout, including hamburgers, chicken, pork chops, potatoes, strawberries, ice cream, and more. Your participation helps highlight the value of America's food system and the important role farmers and ranchers play in keeping food affordable.

✅ Visit a grocery store or use a grocery store app/website
✅ Complete the quick survey at FB.org/CookoutSurvey

The results will be featured in a national Fourth of July campaign that showcases food affordability and the contribution of U.S. agriculture to our nation's security.

Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice have protected the freedoms we cherish every day. As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us take a moment to reflect on those who gave everything for our nation.
