August was a busy month, and we're already into September, but we couldn't let our Summer Life Skills Program go unrecognized!
We had 27 youth registered to attend our Summer Life Skills Program at the Redford Township District Library.
This four-week program focused on building practical skills for success. We were especially proud of the 10 participants who committed to all four sessions. Each Wednesday in the month of August, the participated in a different session; Social Media Safety, CPR & AED basics, College, Career, and Entrepreneurship and Financial Education.
What stood out most was the engagement of our youth; their curiosity, participation, and great question for our presenters.
Thank you to our speakers, Redford Township Police Department, Police Chief, Jennifer Mansfield, Redford Township School Resource Officer, Erica Plymel, Redford EMT Tech Jesse Frizzell, French Toast Clawson Owner, Ben Barnes II, Financial Professional, Myles Campbell and Jennifer Bolender & Sophia Whittaker from Vibe Credit Union, who all shared their expertise in their field and invested in our next generation.
A special thank you to Vibe Credit Union and the Redford Commission on Youth and Families for sponsoring this program. Kingdom Presence is grateful for the opportunity to equip young people with knowledge and skills that will serve them well into the future.
