Woody dog update! All is well with all the dogs. We have a new addition. Her name is Flora. She is a 8 lb. 3 year old poodle. She will soon be getting a cherry eye issue fixed along with getting fixed. Our oldest dogs Harley almost 18 and Aldo 13 are doing well. The four younger ones are all best buddies and like spending their time snuggling and greeting clients at the gate. Thank you all for following us and supporting us. Brenda Woody ๐Ÿ˜Š

Woody dog update: Unfortunately we lost a couple of our precious fur babies recently. Little 17 year old JJ passed and our baby Junior passed. JJ was age related and Junior had a collapsed trachea. He had some genetic issues that caused him to be vulnerable for this. They are in heaven now and we feel blessed to have had them in our lifeโค๏ธ. The rest of the pack is healthy and enjoying life.

It has been a wonderful past year with the dogs. Although, there has been some sadness with the loss of 6 Better Life Canine dogs this year. 4 from the Woody home, Bob, Lucy, Woscar and Max. 2 were beloved adopted out dogs Rudy and Fogo. All the dogs lived a long beautiful life. They all passed from age related conditions. We are so happy to have had the opportunity to love on them until the very end. They are all in heaven now healthy and free. โค๏ธ This post we have shared just photos of Bob, Lucy, Woscar, Fogo, Rudy and Max. We will update later with the rest of the Woody dogs. God bless you all this new year. Brenda Woody

Woody dogs update: All dogs are healthy and well. Many are up in age so we are dealing with diapers and potty issues ๐Ÿ˜Š. All the dogs are out together now socially. It is such a blessing not rotating dogs. We have had to work through issues with our new girl JoJo escaping. She has a tracker now and we think we have deterred the issue. Jasmine the C**n Hound has improved tremendously with her resource guarding. She was a hand full there for awhile, but she is settling in better now. The rest have their little quirks but most all are very well behaved. They love all the gym clients and they love the dogs. Thank you everyone for your support. I promise to try to do better on updates. ๐Ÿ˜Š

We are excited to announce "Operation Santa Paws," our latest effort to help the dogs at LC4 find forever homes in time for the howl-idays!!

For the first 100 adoptions of December, FoLCD will sponsor all the adoption ($100) and license ($25) fees, in hopes of spreading cheer to the pups and their new families! All the dogs are already fixed, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention, and are microchipped. They just need a home!!

To view the currently adoptable dogs at LC4, please visit the following link: https://lucascountydogs.com/adoption/
If you're interested in meeting any of them, please visit the shelter during their normal business hours. They are open from 11-6 on weekdays and 11-5 on weekends.
