Gaza Relief Series | A Place to Find Shelter 🙌🏻

Three years into the Gaza crisis, countless families continue to face displacement and the uncertainty of losing their homes.

In 2025, through our Gaza relief efforts, HHRD provided tents to help displaced families find shelter amid the devastation. A tent may not replace the home they lost, but it can offer a place to rest and begin rebuilding a sense of security.

Three years later, the need for shelter and humanitarian support continues.

Creating spaces where communities can gather and find support. ⛺️🤝

Three years since the Gaza crisis began on October 7, 2023, more than 2 million people continue to need humanitarian assistance. Families face displacement and ongoing challenges accessing food, clean water, shelter, and medical care.

In 2025, HHRD worked to establish shelter structures for Multipurpose Community Centers in Gaza, helping create spaces for connection and support during difficult times.

Our 2026 Winter Promise is underway. We are preparing blankets, warm clothing, bedding, heaters, winter supplies, and food for refugees, displaced families, and vulnerable communities.

Last winter, your support reached more than 75,000 people across 19 countries. This season, families in Gaza, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Lebanon, and beyond need warmth again.

Prepared communities are better equipped to face what’s ahead. 🌧️💙

As part of HHRD’s Emergency Relief and Disaster Management, Disaster Risk Reduction Project, community members in Tana River County, Kenya, took part in preparedness activities for the El Niño rains.

The sessions provided practical information and encouraged communities to plan, prepare, and respond together. 🤝🌱

Clean water supports healthier communities. 💧

Through HHRD’s Water for Life Program, a bio-sand filtration plant with aeration and a community hand pump was installed at Rastriya Secondary School in Chitwan, Nepal.

The completed system now provides safe, filtered drinking water to 544 students, teachers, and visitors, as well as families living nearby. 🤲

There was a point in history when Baghdad, not London or Paris, was where scholars sent their work to be translated, studied, and built on. The House of Wisdom didn't just preserve knowledge, it multiplied it, mathematics, astronomy, medicine, centuries before most of it reached Europe.
