Have you been wondering whether God is hearing your prayers or not?
Jeremiah 29:11 is one of the most quoted promises in Scripture, but we often stop reading before we reach the invitation.
God doesn’t just promise us a future and a hope. He invites us into relationship.
“Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” (Jeremiah 29:12)
He has seen every tear you’ve ever cried. He has heard every thought you’ve ever had and every word you’ve ever spoken.
You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to earn His attention or affection. He is listening because He loves you.
If you’ve been wondering whether God hears your prayers today, let this be your reminder: He does.
Take a moment today to pause, talk with Him, and trust that the One who knows the plans He has for you is also listening to every word you pray.

How's your heart?

When someone gives you feedback, what happens inside?
When someone misunderstands you, how do you respond?
When you make a mistake, do you move toward grace or shame?
When someone else receives the breakthrough you've been praying for, can you celebrate with them?
These moments often reveal more about the condition of our hearts than we realize.

Has someone ever looked at you and said, “You should be ashamed of yourself”?
Not every thought comes from God.
The enemy accuses. The Holy Spirit brings connection.
The enemy points out your failures and tries to make them your identity.
The Holy Spirit reminds you of your identity and lovingly reveals anything that is keeping you from walking in freedom.
One voice says, “Look at what you’ve done. You’re a failure. You are bad.”
The other says, “Look at who you are. You are my child, and there isn’t a mess that we can’t clean up together.”
One leads to shame, hiding, and isolation.
The other leads to freedom, healing, and deeper connection with God.
A simple question to ask yourself is:
👉 Does this thought draw me closer to God, or make me want to hide from Him?
The Father’s voice will always lead you toward truth, freedom, and relationship.

This Father’s Day week, may this truth settle deep into your heart:
“And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!” Romans 8:15 (TPT)
You were never created to live striving for approval or fearing rejection. Through Jesus, you have been welcomed, accepted, and adopted into the Father’s family.
Whatever your earthly father experience has been, beautiful, painful, absent, or complicated, the Father’s heart toward you remains steady. He does not tolerate you; He delights in you. You don’t have to earn your place at His table. You already belong.
This week, take a moment to quiet your heart and ask the Holy Spirit: “What does it mean for me to live as a beloved son or daughter today?”

Many of us have learned to love through the lens of performance.
We give, serve, accommodate, and show up for others, but receiving love can feel much harder. Why? Because at some point in time, for most of our childhood, we started to believe that love must be earned.
When that belief takes root, people-pleasing becomes a way of securing connection, and exhaustion is the result.
But God’s love doesn’t operate on a performance system. The more secure we become in being loved by Him, the more freedom we have to love others without losing ourselves in the process. Love is meant to flow through us, not drain us.
As you reflect today, consider:
• Do I find it easier to give love or receive it?
• Where am I still trying to earn what God freely gives me?
• What would change if I truly believed I was already deeply loved?
The invitation isn’t to love more by trying harder. It’s to receive more deeply from the One who is love and allow that love to overflow to others.
What if the exhaustion you’re feeling isn’t from loving too much—but from trying to earn love that has already been freely given?

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why you’re serving?
Sometimes what looks like love on the outside is actually fear underneath.
We say yes, meet needs, carry responsibilities, and pour ourselves out for others, and believe “If I do enough, maybe I’ll be enough. If I help enough people, maybe I’ll be accepted.”
Romans 8 says that those controlled by the flesh can never find life through their striving, “no matter how hard they try.” Self-effort was never meant to be the source of our identity.
A few verses later, Paul reveals the deeper issue: “You did not receive the spirit of religious duty, leading you back into the fear of never being good enough.”
People-pleasing often masquerades as service, but it’s fueled by the fear of rejection, disappointment, or not measuring up. The Spirit doesn’t motivate us through pressure and performance. He reminds us that we already are fully accepted by God.
When we know we are sons and daughters, service becomes an overflow instead of an obligation. We no longer serve to earn love; we serve because we have already received it.

This week, take a moment to ask the Lord: Am I serving from sonship or striving? From acceptance or from the fear of not being enough?
