2026 NCSU Introductory Horse Judging Short Course- November 21-22
This short course is designed for aspiring horse show judges, youth coaches, FFA instructors, and anyone interested in future certification clinics. Participants will gain in-depth instruction on judging systems across western, hunt seat, saddle seat, and non-trotting divisions using classroom video evaluations and a provided judging manual.

Keynote Speakers: Alex Ross, Ross Performance Horses, former AQHA Senior Director of Judges, and Phillip Long, USEF R Judge

The fee for the two-day clinic is $115.00.
Complete registration by October 15 to avoid a $25 late fee.

2026: A Historic Year for Alumni Showmanship
The 2026 Alumni Showmanship class, held during the Saturday evening of the NC State 4-H Horse Show, was one for the history books! Thanks to our incredible 4-H family and supporters, we shattered records this year by raising an astounding $7,884.00! This brings the seven-year total of this fundraiser class to an incredible $26,767.00! Every single dollar raised goes directly to providing scholarships to deserving NC 4-H Horse Program members as they pursue educational events, clinics, camps, and shows.

A massive round of applause goes to our Sponsorship Challenge winner, Samantha Taylor from Union County, who set a new record by raising an incredible $2,400! Her outstanding effort was generously matched dollar-for-dollar by Beth Morgan, Realtor with Coldwell Banker Advantage. We are beyond grateful for Beth’s unbelievable generosity and Samantha's dedication!

Please help us with our clinical trial for horses with squamous cell carcinoma.

This is a dose-escalation clinical trial that will include:
• An initial visit with biopsy.
• One to three injections of TRAP-Paclitaxel at a minimum of six weeks apart.
• Recheck appointments for up to a year past the last injection.

🍀 It’s time to meet Team NC! 🐴

We’re gearing up for the upcoming All-American Quarter Horse Congress, and we want YOU to get to know the incredible people representing the NC 4-H Horse Program!

Over the next two weeks, we’ll be introducing all 17 youth competitors and 6 adult coaches heading to the Quarter Horse Congress and Eastern National 4-H Horse Roundup. Keep an eye on our feed to catch their fun facts, favorite contest snacks, good luck charms, and favorite horse subjects!
