Partners in Health and Wholeness

Partners in Health and Wholeness Partners in Health and Wholeness, an initiative of the North Carolina Council of Churches, is designed to bridge issues of faith, health, and justice.

Our work is guided through the lens of holistic care to promote the well-being of the whole person. Partners in Health and Wholeness, an initiative of the North Carolina Council of Churches, is designed to bridge issues of faith and health together. In order to live out the example of Jesus Christ – someone who dedicated his life to healing the sick, guiding the lost, comforting the downcast, and

even raising the dead – this initiative seeks to provide people of faith with the tools necessary to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. By improving the health and well-being of people of faith, we hope to impact the larger community and ultimately reduce the health care burden on our state.

Join us to learn more about NAMI FaithNet, an information exchange network of NAMI members, friends, clergy, and congregations of all faith traditions who wish to create more welcoming and supportive faith communities for persons and families touched by serious mental illness.

NAMI FaithNet also encourages the role of faith in recovery for those for whom faith is a key component of their experience.

NAMI FaithNet is not a religious network but a mental health education and awareness outreach to clergy and congregations of all faith traditions as well as to individuals who seek faith as a component of their recovery.

From our friends at Dementia Alliance of North Carolina:

Keep your loved one hydrated this summer by making it social and fun.

Incorporate frequent sips into every activity, whether it's during meals, games, or conversations. Offer high-water-content foods like grapefruit, melons, apples, and zucchini, along with water and other beverages.

Why does this matter? Summer heat increases dehydration risk, and people living with dementia may not recognize the signs of thirst on their own.

Small, consistent efforts throughout the day help keep your loved one healthy and hydrated.
