Mary Isabel Prada is originally from Colombia, South America, and arrived in the USA in 2000. She is the first-generation graduate in her family. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Universidad Industrial de Santander, a Master's in Teaching English to Foreign Students from Greensboro College, and a Master's in Coaching International Teachers from the University of Barcelona. Mary has dedicated her career to serving multilingual students and families. As an immigrant mother and teacher, she understands the struggles multilingual families face when arriving in the US. As a member of ILAF at United Church, Mary and other leaders offer legal and financial support to immigrant families. Her passion is providing equal opportunities, resources, and counseling to help multilingual communities overcome socio-economic and cultural barriers and achieve their goal of sending students to college. That is why Mary joined Juntos in July 2026. “Together we work! Together we achieve” is the slogan families shout at the end of each workshop.
