Kicking off the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Raleigh’s greenways in October with two rides!

LIGHT UP THE NIGHT RIDE
Friday, October 2nd | 7 PM | Kiwanis Park

Bring lights and reflective gear for a 10-mile night ride on the greenway. Afterward, we’ll roll over to House of Hops for a post-ride beverage.

50 FOR 50: FIFTY MILES FOR FIFTY YEARS
Sunday, October 4th | 9:30 AM | Chavis Park

Join us for a 50-mile ride in honor of 50 years of Raleigh’s greenways. We’ll be riding east from Chavis Park to Anderson Point Park. From there, we’ll loop back toward town on the Crabtree Creek Greenway, passing Lockwood Park, Kiwanis Park, Shelley Lake, Crabtree Valley, and more.

Join us for the full 50 miles, or join us later at one of the many greenway entrances along the route. Please see the map for the route and places to join along the way.

Our first adult learn to ride series starts next Monday. This four week course will cover the basics of learning to ride, bike maintenance, and wrap up with a bike ride to put your new skills into practice!

Kidical Mass is a bike ride built for kids and their families. Rides are short and have a sweet treat stop in the middle!

We are not even at $1000 of our $10,000 goal. $25 is all we are asking.

We’re raising money to help bring bike education to 500 more kids before the end of the year.

So far in 2026, we’ve helped more than 540 kids learn to ride, build their biking skills, learn essential traffic rules, and simply enjoy riding bikes with their families in Raleigh.

But fewer kids are biking today. In the 1990s in the U.S., an average of about 20.5 million kids rode bikes regularly. By 2023, that number had fallen to about 10.9 million. That’s nearly half!

We want to help change that.

In our monthly Learn to Ride classes, nearly 40% of kids, on average, are pedaling independently by the end of class, and more than 90% improve their riding skills.

Helping kids fall in love with biking today can create adults who continue to ride tomorrow and who better understand and respect people biking on our roads.

It’s back to school! Help us raise $10,000 to reach 500 more kids before the end of the year!

So far in 2026, we’ve directly served more than 540 kids through our Safe Routes to School programming.

A big part of that work is bringing All Kids Bike balance bike fleets and bike education curriculum to Raleigh elementary schools, with the majority going to Title I schools. We’re now up to 18 schools, giving more kids the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike right at school!
