FBINAA Announces John J. DeVoe as Executive Director!
The FBI National Academy Associates, Inc. (FBINAA) is proud to announce the appointment of John J. DeVoe, NA Session 252, as Executive Director!
FBINAA National President Jim Gallagher made the official announcement on behalf of the National Board on October 25 during the FBINAA Member Reception at the IACP Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida.
“This is a significant moment for our Association, as the leadership of the FBINAA rests with one of its own: a graduate of the FBI National Academy,” said Gallagher.
John brings decades of law enforcement experience to this role, having served with the Seaside Heights and River Vale Police Departments in New Jersey, as well as the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Task Force. A graduate of NA Session 252 in 2013, he also served as President of the FBINAA New Jersey Chapter in 2020 and 2021.
John joined the FBINAA National Office in February 2023 as Director of Strategic Partnerships, helping grow the Alliance Partner program to record-setting results. In March 2026, he stepped into the role of Acting Executive Director, leading the Association through a period of growth, strengthening relationships with the FBI Training Division, expanding training opportunities, and continuing to support our members and chapters worldwide.
“Our relationship with the FBI has never been stronger,” said Gallagher. “These achievements reflect who John is: a relationship-based leader whose passion for the National Academy has defined his service. He understands this Association because he has lived it.”
As Executive Director, John will lead the FBINAA National Office and oversee the Association’s operations, programs, and strategic initiatives, continuing to serve nearly 14,500 members across 48 chapters.
