FEATURED SPEAKER – CHIEF JOHN PELLETIER

The FBINAA New Jersey Chapter is proud to welcome Chief John Pelletier, Chief of the Maui Police Department, as a featured speaker at the 2026 Annual Training Conference.
Chief Pelletier will provide a firsthand perspective on the Maui Police Department’s response to the devastating August 2023 Maui wildfires, sharing critical lessons in crisis leadership, emergency management, interagency coordination, and community recovery from one of the deadliest natural disasters in modern U.S. history.

Chief Pelletier will also discuss his distinguished career with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, where he led the SWAT, K9, and Narcotics/Major Violator Sections. While in Las Vegas, he was responsible for the Las Vegas Strip and served as Incident Commander during the October 1, 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival/Mandalay Bay mass casualty incident.

This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from a law enforcement leader who has navigated some of the most complex and challenging critical incidents in recent history.

Meet Jeff—a leader forged in the world’s most unforgiving environments.

With 13 years as a U.S. Navy SEAL, including most of his career with SEAL Team 6, Jeff completed eight deployments and earned four Bronze Stars with Valor and two Purple Hearts.

After medically retiring in 2013, Jeff discovered that returning home required a different kind of tactical toolkit. Today, as a Resident Counselor specializing in military and first responder populations, he works at the intersection of service, resilience, and mental health.

Jeff also serves on the board of The S.I.R.E.N. Project, a nonprofit dedicated to first responder wellness, and is the author of Navigating Chaos: How to Find Certainty in Uncertain Situations (2nd Ed.).

His message goes beyond leadership theory. Jeff delivers raw, practical insights for navigating trauma, burnout, uncertainty, and high-pressure environments—helping people lead when the stakes are at their highest.

Meet the FBINAA New Jersey Conference Keynote Speakers:

We are honored to introduce Christina “Tina” Charchar-Boss, a distinguished leader whose nearly three decades of service in the U.S. Intelligence Community have shaped an extraordinary career in counterterrorism, counternarcotics, and Eurasia.

Tina spent much of her career focused on al-Qa’ida and affiliated terrorist networks, contributing to some of the most complex intelligence operations of the post-9/11 era. Her work included playing a pivotal role in the hunt for Osama bin Laden and serving in key leadership positions both overseas and in Washington, D.C. Now retired and for the first time, Tina will offer firsthand perspective on these two defining areas of her remarkable career.

A recipient of several of the Intelligence Community’s highest honors, including the Distinguished Intelligence Medal, Tina brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and insight to the conversation. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and History from Penn State.

We look forward to welcoming Tina and hearing her firsthand perspective on leadership, intelligence, service, and the experiences that shaped her remarkable career.
