Quantico Young Marines

The Quantico Young Marines was hosted for a second year in a row by the Station 31 Firehouse on mainside Quantico. Once again they delivered an outstanding morning to the kids with an educational, fun, and extremely professional Fire Safety & Prevention training course. Our unit is VERY aware of the importance of this training as last year YM/LCpl Williams saved his house from a substantial fire utilizing what he learned from the Station 31 training. Well done by all and special thanks to the Old Dominion Regimental Commander SgtMaj Betton and YM Betton for joining us!

Our Young Marines assisted in the National Memorial Day Parade to help honor and remember those that gave their lives so that we could have the opportunities we have today. We are forever thankful for these service members and will continue to show our thanks through volunteering and veterans appreciation.

What an incredible joint visit to the National Museum of the Marine Corps with the Manassas Young Marines! Our Young Marines had an amazing time learning about Marine Corps history by watching the film at the museum and getting a full gallery tour to include the new exhibit at the museum! Not only did they have fun learning but they also got to see a little of what life for Marines is like by experiencing the yells of a drill Sergeant and getting a little pt in, we see that chin over the bar YM Mastronardi!! Oorah!

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Our Young Marines had a wonderful time volunteering at the Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon! Handing out water cups and cheering on the runners was an excellent way to spend the morning!

🚨REGIONAL CHAMPION ALERT🚨 The Quantico Young Marines are extremely proud of YM/PFC Essayas Stephens. On March 18th, Stephens competed in the 2025 Prince William County, Eastern Regional Wrestling Tournament and placed 1st in the 158lbs weight class!! We see Stephens give his all and excel in all PT and PFTs, so it is no surprise that he is a beast on the mat. Congratulations, Stephens!! And way to represent the program by showing everyone how it pays off to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle! Oorah!!

Our previous meeting celebrated our Young Marines for their many achievements! YM LCpl Williams received the title of Unit Young Marine of the Year, and for his bravery dealing with a house fire, he received the 2nd Degree Life Saving Award!

Our Young Marines were also recognized for their fantastic PFT scores, where many of our Young Marines earned their highest scores yet. In the PFT, YMs Stephens and Branch went above and beyond, earning themselves a perfect PFT!

We would also like to congratulate YM Barnes on his promotion to Private First Class. He has been working so hard and getting so much accomplished.

YMs Wideman and Williams also earned the Attendance Award for their excellent attendance this past year. They have been showing up and putting in the work!

Finally, we graduated two recruits who have shown their dedication and drive to become Young Marines, amazing job, YM Mastronardi, and YM Serans!

We are so proud of all of our Young Marines!! They put in so much effort at meetings and on their own time to advance in the program, and it is paying off!

Today, our Young Marines participated in the Manassas Veterans Day Ceremony! They assisted in a color guard as well as set up and break down of the event. They also had the opportunity to hear many veterans' stories. Taking part in events like this is just one of the many ways our Young Marines remember and honor our veterans, and we love to see them supporting these events!

The Quantico Unit is very excited to have YM/GySgt Keith back from her outstanding performance last week at ALS! She finished in the top 10 to be a Distinguished Graduate and had a perfect PFT score, thus joining two of her fellow female students as Molly Marine recipients (the first time three students got perfect scores)!

In ship shape! ⛵️🛳 A few of our Young Marines received their America's Boaters Course Certificates for completing the class. With this certificate, they also received the Seamanship Ribbon. Congratulations to our Young Marines and a huge thank you to Mr Alan Hart for his help with the class and for presenting the certificates.
