MISSIONARIES OF THE WEEK
TYLER & HANNAH TRUSLEY | EL MIRAGE, AZ

Tyler and Hannah Trusley planted Cross Church El Mirage in a diverse Arizona community made up of people from all ethnicities, economic backgrounds, and life experiences. “It’s a super rewarding ministry,” Tyler says, “and reminds us of the diversity we’ll see in heaven.”

They launched the church in a building where another church had previously closed. Since then, God has blessed their work. Now, they’re exploring ways to expand—whether through additional services, planting new churches, or raising up more leaders.

Tyler shares a powerful story of one young man who connected with the church after military service. He was discipled, married at the church, baptized his wife, and is now preparing for ministry through their residency program. “It’s a reminder that God can do things that seem wild or impossible on a daily basis,” Tyler says.

Through the Cooperative Program, we help support the Trusleys and their work in El Mirage.

Pray God will continue opening doors to connections and ministry opportunities in El Mirage.

MISSIONARIES OF THE WEEK
JOE & LAURA PANTALEO | MALTA

Joe and Laura Pantaleo always believed they’d be missionaries—but every time they tried to go, God closed the door. Instead, He prepared them at home.

In Virginia, they began ministering to one of the largest Central Asian populations in the U.S., building friendships with refugees and internationals. “Every week Joe and I went to one family’s home and shared the entirety of the gospel,” Laura said.

Joe, a former youth pastor, led short-term mission trips, while their children grew up immersed in ministry. Eventually, each of their sons asked if the whole family could become missionaries.

That’s when they knew—it was time.

Now newly appointed IMB missionaries, the Pantaleos are headed to Malta to minister to students and young families in a culture shaped more by superstition than saving faith.

Through the Cooperative Program, Southern Baptists help send families like the Pantaleos to share the gospel around the world.

Pray for fruitful ministry in Malta and for open hearts among the students and families they serve.

MISSIONARY OF THE WEEK
JOHN HEADING | FAIRBORN, OH

John Heading serves as the state director of Ohio Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, coordinating deployment teams and helping the ministry become more effective in serving those in crisis. As an SBC-endorsed chaplain, John not only supports his team members spiritually but also engages with local residents, assessing their emotional needs and looking for opportunities to share the gospel.

John says the most rewarding part is seeing people respond—not just to the physical help they receive, but to the hope of Christ. “Recently, Amy and her family lost everything in a flood,” he recalls. “By the end of the day, she gave her life to Christ. Her next request was to learn how to follow Him—and for her husband to be saved.”

Through the Cooperative Program, our church helps provide practical and spiritual aid through Disaster Relief teams across North America.

Pray John will be sensitive to the spiritual needs of people in crisis, not just to meet their physical needs.
