Join us at Zap! A Day of Electric Discovery and find out!

At our Static Electricity Station, young scientists will experiment with balloons and tiny scraps of paper to discover how electric charges can create surprising effects.

It's hands-on, a little bit magical, and a great way to explore the science behind everyday electricity.

Learn the basic financial skills to manage and track PTA funds, online accounts, legal obligations to maintain your tax-exempt status and other considerations. Recommended for all elected officers and board members.

New WSPTA Programs Portal. Read and share with your board.

New WSPTA Programs Portal - Kaleidoscope - Portal opens November 19th, 2026



Every PTA will be asked to open one portal. This portal will be used to apply for ALL Award of Excellences awards. PTAs will use one email and one login to access their account. Accounts can be started prior to November 19th; however, you will not be able to apply for an award till that date. PTA logo; we will ask that you upload your PTA or council logo when opening your account. Your logo will simply be used for award recognition.



All uploaded items will need a document title: 2026 May Board of Director meeting minutes, narrative for advocacy award etc... By doing this, your PTA will be able to use uploaded documents more than once and for multiple awards if necessary.



All award applications can be saved and worked on until your PTA hits the save button.

PTA and the Law is always a good idea for all Board Members! Check your standing rules to see who is required to attend from your PTA Board.

This is the most important and useful class of them all! It will prepare you and your fellow officers to run your PTA with an eye toward the important legal and fiscal requirements in running a nonprofit.



PTA and the Law deals with state and federal rules and regulations relevant to running a charitable, tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation in the state of Washington and will explain how these rules impact your PTA. PTA and the Law is a required class for at least one PTA officer each year, however we recommend that all of your officers (and other board members!) consider taking this class.

25 PTA members paid and entered into the Givebacks database so your PTA is in good standing by Halloween! 🎃

October 31 is more than just Halloween—it’s an important PTA membership deadline!

By October 31, your PTA needs to have at least 25 members entered AND paid to meet the minimum membership requirement.

That means it’s time to check your numbers and see where you stand! 👀

Have 25+? Awesome! Keep growing!
Not quite there? There’s still time!
Close? Make that final push!
