ALBCM Baptist Campus Ministries and church collegiate ministries in Alabama

The Office of Collegiate & Student Ministries — in partnership with the churches and associations of the Alabama Baptist State Convention — ministers to college, university, middle and high school students in order to reach students for Christ, grow faithful disciples, prepare students for Christian leadership and involve students in mission service and education.

Lives transformed on campus! ✨

Luke, a senior at the University of Montevallo, came to know Christ during college. Now, he’s actively sharing the Gospel with his peers—and after graduation, he’ll join the BCM as our newest campus missionary! From the harvest, for the harvest.

Please join us in lifting up these specific prayer requests for Montevallo BCM:
- Pray for open doors and divine connections as we seek to reach student-athletes with the Gospel.
- Pray for wisdom and strength as Luke prepares for his upcoming semester as a campus missionary.
- Pray for James, who is meeting weekly to discuss following Christ, that God would give him a profound understanding of God's grace and his need for a Savior.

Alabama BCMs seek to see the lost saved, the saved discipled, and the discipled sent. Through every campus reach, lunch, one-on-one discipleship, game night, large group worship, and small group Bible studies, our desire is to impact students. So, we’re starting a new series of videos titled: IMPACT.

Over the next few months you will hear specific stories of how God has used our BCMs to impact students across our state. Some of these stories will be about students who came to know Jesus, and others will be about how God used the BCM to change the trajectory of students’ lives. We see these stories unfold nearly every week, and we want to share them with you.

Each week, let’s pray that God will continue to draw students to Himself and that the BCM will pursue lost students, disciple the saved, and mobilize the discipled!

WE WANT HEAR FROM YOU! We’d love to hear a story about how God used the BCM/BSU to impact your life.

Across Alabama's universities, thousands of students have come from other countries to study at our great universities. These international students aren't only looking for the opportunities a degree provides, but also for ways to connect with our culture. They’re looking for friendship. Unfortunately, these international students attend an American university and rarely set foot in the home of an American family.

Our BCMs are working to engage these students. Our hope is not only to establish meaningful relationships with international students, but relationships that point them to the ultimate hope of the Gospel.

In that spirit, this weekend BCMs across the state will be bringing international and American students to WorldSong Missions Place with the hope of providing an opportunity to build and deepen friendships. This week, we’re asking that you pray for our International Friends Retreat. Please pray that God will open doors for our BCMs to engage students with the Gospel while enjoying the beautiful campus of WorldSong Missions Place.

We’re grateful for our partnership with Alabama WMU!

This week we’re praying for UAB BCM, where Bill Morrison and Daniel Richardson serve as our campus ministers. Along with the traditional large gatherings and one-on-one discipleship efforts, the UAB BCM, through partnerships with local churches and ministries, ministers directly to several specific people groups on campus: medical students, international students, and the ROTC.

Here’s how you can pray:
- Pray that God will continue to open doors to these unique groups on campus and will create more partnerships with churches and ministries in order to reach more students.
- Pray for opportunities for Bill and Daniel to follow up with students after these weekly Bible studies and outreaches.
- Ask God to raise up more student leaders who will engage their classmates with the Gospel.

Over the past few weeks, many of our campus ministers and staff have experienced a range of challenges – some of the challenges are worth celebrating – new babies and grandchildren, family celebrations, and on-campus milestones. However, it seems these past few weeks have also brought an unusual amount of hardship and loss to our campus ministry family. We’ve had some tragedies within our BCM ministries. We’ve also had several campus ministers assume end-of-life family responsibilities as well as navigate significant family loss and illnesses.

Here’s how you can pray:
- Pray for our campus ministers who are having to navigate significant family challenges. May they lead and serve their families well.
- Pray for our campus ministers who are having to counsel and support students as they navigate loss and challenges.
- Pray for our campus ministers who are trying to balance these family challenges and still lead their BCMs effectively.
