In an effort to recognize those that have displayed outstanding character in their personal and public lives, we encourage the community to nominate.

Every year since 2010, we have partnered with the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce to host our Character Award Luncheon, where we highlight our award winners. Students, families, organizations, and businesses located in Autauga County that have displayed exemplary character are eligible to receive the award.

The Prattville-Autauga Character Coalition, in partnership with the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce, proudly hosted a celebration for the recipients of the Character Education Grants.

The Coalition is proud to continue our partnership with educators and schools in our community by providing additional resources to help teach our children and youth good character traits and promote a seamless integration of applying and practicing these characters traits daily. By working together, we are creating a much stronger, safer and better community for us all.

The Prattville Autauga Character Coalition is now accepting grant applications from teachers and educators working in the Autauga County School System. The grant cycle is open now and will end November 14, 2025. Funds will be awarded in December of 2025.

All applications must be submitted through our website. Click the link https://www.pacharacter.org/character-education-grants to apply for a grant. Please include a letter of endorsement with a signature from a principal or director. To learn more, please call 334.365.7392.

Last week, the Prattville-Autauga Character Coalition proudly hosted the annual Champions of Character event! Presented by International Paper, the evening was a celebration of character as we honored the 2025 Champion of Character, James Spann .

Attendees enjoyed a silent auction sponsored by Central Access, a delicious dinner, and live music from The Playin' Possums.

All proceeds from this event will benefit local teacher grants and scholarships, supporting the future of our community. Thank you to all our sponsors and community members for making this event a huge success!
