Historically, immigrant and refugee communities have played an essential role in bridging these workforce gaps and strengthening our regional economy.

Please join us at the Seacoast Women’s Giving Circle annual LEARN Forum: Immigrants & Refugees to hear directly from leaders on the front lines of community support in New Hampshire.

Our panel will explore:
• Grassroots organizing & cultural integration
• Navigating statewide social, healthcare, and educational systems

• Workforce development, job training, and dismantling barriers to success

Announcing our topic for Cycle 21: Immigrants and Refugees

Our Learn team is already getting to work exploring the vital local organizations, resources, and changemakers serving our immigrant and refugee neighbors across the Seacoast. For example, did you know that the Portsmouth School Department reports that there are over 25 different languages represented in the school system? Wow!

Summer memories, community connections, and opportunities to grow ☀️

As our youth head back to school, we’re celebrating a summer at MC3 filled with learning, fun, and meaningful experiences - made possible in part by a generous $25,000 investment from Seacoast Women's Giving Circle, along with the incredible support of our community partners.

From a foam party and magic show with Sages Entertainment, to a visit from First Push Syndicate | Skateboarding in School and an outing to Seacoast Science Center, our youth had plenty of opportunities to explore, learn, and make lasting memories 🛹🦀

A special thank-you to our NH Sea Grant interns, Dan and Ava from University of New Hampshire ︱ UNH, who spent the summer inspiring our youth through hands-on lessons about the ocean and environmental awareness 🌊

We’re also incredibly grateful to Gather for providing meals throughout the summer and helping us reduce our food costs by $6,000. Your partnership makes a meaningful difference for Portsmouth families!

This is what community investment looks like: working together to create brighter summers and stronger futures for our youth 💙

Join us in celebrating our 2026 grantee: Portsmouth Housing! Serving the city since 1953, they manage over 650 apartments and support residents with a range of services, including youth recreation and family support programs. Our grant will specifically fund their youth summer program.
