Our new Sea Turtles turned something old into something brand new! Our little learners took dried-out markers, placed them in water, and waited to see what would happen. ✨

Before long, the leftover ink began to come out and transform the water into colorful homemade paint! 🌈 We then used our new paints for our very first art project together!

What a fun way to explore, experiment, and get creative as we begin our year together! 🖌️🐢💙

🌿 Offsite. Off the grid. Off the charts! 💚

Last Friday, SCS stepped away from our classrooms and went kinda off the grid for a very special Professional Development Day at the beautiful Alnoba located in Kensington, NH: New England’s premier nonprofit educational retreat center for leadership and team development.

And what a place to pause, reflect, connect, and grow! ✨

Our incredible staff spent the day participating in team-building and communication activities, strengthening connections with one another, and taking a step back from the day-to-day to reflect on where we’ve been and look ahead to our next chapter and goals.

One of the most beautiful parts of the day was watching our team open up, work together, laugh, learn, and challenge themselves, all with the shared goal of becoming even better educators, caregivers, teammates, and advocates for the children and families we serve. 💚

Because when we invest in our people, we invest in our children.

We’re so grateful for our amazing SCS team and their continued commitment to learning, growing, and building brighter beginnings for every child. 🌱✨

📣 Friendly Reminder, SCS Families and community! 💙

Just a quick reminder that we are closing early today, Thursday, August 27, at 12:30 PM and will be closed all day tomorrow, Friday, August 28, for our Professional Development Days.

While we’ll miss seeing our kiddos, this time is so important for our educators! 📚✨ Professional development gives our team the opportunity to learn new strategies, strengthen their skills, share ideas, and continue growing as educators, all so we can provide the best possible care, learning, and experiences for your children. 🧠💛

We’re always learning, growing, and striving to be better for the children and families we serve!

☀️ Field Day Fun! 🎉

What a day! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Field Day yesterday! The sun was shining, bubbles were soaring, Kona Ice was pouring, and SO many giggles filled the air. 💙

And this year, we had a SUPER special guest swing by… 🕷️🕸️ The one and only SPIDERMAN! 🕷️ He stopped by for some fun tattoos, photos, and plenty of superhero smiles! 📸🦸‍♂️

We absolutely love bringing our SCS family together because community is at the heart and soul of what we do (it’s literally in our name! 😉).

A BIG shoutout to our friends at Piscataqua Savings Bank for volunteering their time, lending a helping hand with our activities, and getting in on the tie-dye fun! 🎨 We’re so grateful for incredible community partners who aren’t afraid to get their hands a little dirty....or dyed! 💜

🥫💛 Introducing the SCS Community Cupboard! Our passion project has come to life!

We’re so excited to officially unveil our newly expanded Community Cupboard, a welcoming resource helping SCS families and community members access nutritious food and everyday essentials when they need them most.

This special space was made possible thanks to generous support of the Mary Louise Billings Trust, with Citizens Bank, N.A. as Trustee, Gather, and Nest Carpentry, along with the ongoing support of our amazing SCS families. 🫶

Because caring for children means caring for the whole family. We’re grateful to everyone who helped us turn this vision into reality and continue building a stronger, healthier community together! 💛

✨ Confidence Starts With Play! ✨ Did you know one of the best ways to build an infant’s confidence is to simply let them play, explore, and try things on their own? 💛

When babies are given the freedom to explore their environment, they’re learning much more than how to stack a block or reach for a toy. They’re building problem-solving skills, developing curiosity, practicing independence, and discovering that “I can do this!” 🙌

🌱 How can you help?
• Give them a safe space to explore
• Let them try before stepping in to help
• Offer simple, open-ended toys
• Celebrate their attempts, not just the outcome
• Follow their interests and let them lead the play

And remember: play doesn’t have to be complicated! A cardboard box, a soft ball, or a few safe household objects can provide endless opportunities for discovery. Every little exploration is a chance to build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. 💕

Let them play. Let them explore. Let them discover just how capable they are! 🌟

PEAK has been BUSY this summer! ☀️ Our campers and staff have been making memories, exploring new places, learning, laughing, and, most importantly....HAVING FUN! 💙

From cooling off and splashing around at New Castle Commons 💦 to hitting the trails at Urban Forestry and seeing what they can discover 🌲🔎, there’s always an adventure waiting for our PEAK crew!

One minute you’re just playing… and the next, you’re completely mesmerized by these magical little floating spheres! 😂🫧

Big bubbles, little bubbles, bubbles that pop way too soon, they’re basically childhood magic. 💙

We’ll never get tired of watching the wonder, excitement, and pure joy that bubbles bring! 🫧💫

🥕🍎 Growing Healthy Minds & Healthy Bodies! 🍎🥕

We are incredibly grateful to the Mary Louise Billings Trust, Citizens Bank Trustee, for their generous grant funding that allowed us to provide nutrition education materials and resources to our Early Childhood students and families! 💚

Nutrition education helps children build healthy habits, understand the importance of nourishing their growing bodies, and make positive choices that support both learning and development. 🧠💪

Our Sea Turtles recently channeled their inner influencers and got creative with a behind-the-scenes look at their classroom! 🎬✨

From filming to storytelling, they showed off their creativity, confidence, and BIG personalities, and we are here for it! 💚

We love watching our little learners find their voices, express themselves, and let their personalities shine bright. 🌟
