One thing cats are REALLY good at is appreciating tiny joys 😭

A crinkly receipt becomes treasure.
A random string becomes the greatest toy ever created.
A sunny window somehow becomes a full spiritual experience.

And honestly
 I think handmade art feels a lot like that too.

Because the most meaningful things usually aren’t the biggest or most expensive.

Sometimes it’s a tiny crochet kitty.
A handmade gift.
A small creation someone poured care into while sitting quietly at their kitchen table.

That’s why supporting artists matters so much to me.

Not just because of the art itself

but because there’s a real human heart behind every little thing they make.

And I think the world needs more of that softness.

I don’t think people always realize how much love exists behind handmade art.

Not just in the crocheting itself

but in every tiny detail surrounding it.

The packaging.
The tags.
The materials.
The care taken to make something feel special when it arrives to you.

And one of my favorite things about being an artist is how interconnected we all are.

So many parts of my business are supported by other small creators and makers too.

Which means when someone supports my tiny crochet kitties

that support ripples outward farther than most people realize.

I think one of the biggest signs you truly love something


is when you still care deeply about it even after seeing the hard parts.

The packing.
The costs.
The long nights.
The unexpected stress.

Because crochet was never just about the finished product for me.

The calm.
The creativity.

That feeling never gets old.

As a type-A person, my cat has been teaching me this


We’re not all meant to move at the same pace.

Not everything needs to be rushed.
Not everything needs to be optimized or figured out right away.

Because my cat doesn’t care about timelines.
They don’t compare.
They don’t worry if they’re “behind.”

They just
 live.

They stretch when they need to.
Rest when they’re tired.
Play when something brings them joy.

And somehow, they don’t miss anything.

Crochet has been my way of learning that too.

Slowing down.
Taking it one stitch at a time.
Letting the moment be enough without trying to rush to the end.

Because maybe life isn’t about getting there faster.

Maybe it’s about actually being here for it.

As a type-A person, crochet has humbled me in the best way 😭

Because you can’t speed-run a handmade project.

You can’t skip the middle.
You can’t magically jump to the finished result.

It’s just


one stitch.
one row.
one tiny step at a time.

And honestly, I think that’s why crochet feels so healing.

It reminds me that not everything meaningful happens instantly.

Some things take patience.
Some things take softness.
Some things take trusting that your small efforts are becoming something
 even when you can’t fully see it yet.

Which is deeply offensive news for those of us who want results immediately

But maybe life is less about rushing to the finish line


and more about learning how to enjoy making it along the way.

One of my favorite things about crochet is that confidence doesn’t arrive all at once.

It happens quietly.

In the moments you decide not to quit.
In the stitches you redo.
In the tiny projects that slowly start looking more like what you imagined.

And then one day


you hold something in your hands that you made.

And for a second, your inner critic gets quiet.

Because suddenly the story changes from:
“I’m not creative.”

to:

“Wait
 maybe I actually am.” đŸ§¶đŸ„č

And honestly?
That transformation is one my favorite part of crochet.

Not quietly.
Not secretly.
Not like it’s something you’ll “grow out of.”

Because for the longest time, I thought I had to.

Be more serious.
Be more productive.
Like things that made more sense for an “adult.”

But here I am

crocheting tiny cats,
surrounded by real cats,
and genuinely happier because of it.

And the funny thing is

it’s not just “cute.”

It’s calming.
It’s grounding.
It’s the one thing that helps my brain slow down.

So no
 loving cute things isn’t childish.

It’s actually taking care of yourself in the softest way possible.
