Today, Oasis State Park received 22 grass carp specimen, courtesy of The Department of Wildlife. Grass Carp are here to take care of the vegetation. If you catch one, please return it to the water as soon as possible.

These fish are not capable of reproduction, so it is imperative that we maintain our numbers.

Some tips for handling if one is accidentally caught:

•Never hold by stomach
•Support the body
•Use forceps to remove the hook
•Handle with care
