Originally called a "parlor," a home's living room served as a gathering room but also as a grieving room when a family member died. The body was often displayed in the parlor so that family and friends could view the body and grieve the loss. When funeral parlors began to be widespread, the home parlor was no longer associated with death but with life! Parlors began to be called living rooms and became the primary gathering place in the home. Welcome to The Living Room, a place for young adults to enjoy discipleship, hospitality, and service.
