ENMU Women ENMU Women is a 501(c)3 fundraising for ENMU scholarships and volunteering within the community.

ENMU Women is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting the educational advancement of adult learner students at Eastern New Mexico University, with a focus on empowering women through access to higher education. By fundraising and providing scholarship opportunities, we aim to reduce financial barriers, encourage academic persistence, and help individuals achieve their personal and professional goals.

We endeavor to give back to our community and inspire lifelong change through meaningful volunteer service. ENMU Women first met on September 10, 1940 under the name of Faculty Dames, which was changed to University Wives and Women in 1981 and then ENMU Women in 1990. The organization has always been involved in volunteering activities such as Meals on Wheels and KENW-TV's quarterly pledge drives, but the organization first started out as very social and charitable. As the years passed by, ENMU Women became more involved in various social groups including bridge, cooking, sewing, and home arts. The scholarship endowment at the ENMU Foundation was created in 1981, which was the turning point for the group to start becoming more charitable. Social activities still occurred, but by the early 2000's, they were more limited to standard organizational meetings. Today, fundraising for ENMU Women's scholarship is the organization's primary purpose in addition to finding new volunteer activities as opportunities arise. Membership to ENMU Women is open to any woman associated with ENMU including spouses of current and former employees and alumni.

We’re kicking off the new year with a relaxed and fun evening, and we’d love for you to join us tomorrow for our Fling Before Spring Winery Event.

This is a casual, come-as-you-are gathering to connect with other ENMU Women, enjoy a beautiful winery setting, and take a well-deserved pause before the semester gets busy.

Welcome to Altrusa's 27th annual Holiday Happening! ENMU Women sponsored four tables this year, and our hostesses did an amazing job as always! Vice president Leslie Morrell and treasurer Jessica Small's theme was "Polar Express", Christie Carter's was "Holly Jolly Christmas", and Cindy Benge and Mary Kallus' theme was "Merry Old Christmas". Thank you for volunteering your time and money to represent our organization, and thank you to all of our wonderful guests for sitting at our tables!
