Thank you to Areej, Jadon, Kavya, and Zahra for volunteering their time to help pack meals today. Together, we packed 212 meals that will be donated to First Step, an incredible Michigan organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault while working toward safer families and stronger communities across Wayne County.
At UCRI, we’re committed to providing high-quality, nutritious meals while making every effort to accommodate a variety of dietary needs. We make sure our meal distributions include options for those with dietary restrictions, including vegan and gluten-free meals whenever possible, because everyone deserves access to food they can enjoy safely.
UCRI is also excited to share that we will be expanding internationally and beginning humanitarian work in South Asia. This marks an important milestone for our organization, and it would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters.

Whether you’ve donated, volunteered, partnered with us, or simply shared our mission with others, you’ve played a part in every meal we’ve packed and every family we’ve reached.
