The First Pour is the opposite. We keep it small on purpose, so instead of shouting over a crowd, you’ll actually stand with those around you, learn their names, and leave with people you want to see again.

“I’m surrounded by people but never felt so alone.” We hear that from women in Michigan all the time, and this story out of New Jersey shows women there feel it too.

Darcy Twohig-Jones saw the need and she built it: an initiative helping women build friendships and tackle loneliness . She hosts events ranging from community walks to social evenings – with the aim of making it easier for women to meet others in a relaxed and supportive environment. We are here for this.

What we love most is that they just become a nonprofit too.

One great night out doesn’t fix loneliness, but seeing the same faces again and again starts to. Busy, high-functioning women are often the loneliest ones in the room, and they need something on the calendar that doesn’t move 💛

A JERSEY initiative helping women build friendships and tackle loneliness has officially become a registered charity. Her Code, which creates opportunities for women and girls to connect through social activities and community events, has secured registered charity status. Founded to address lonelin...

Founder vs. Psychologist 😑🩷 It seems like making friends would be easy as an adult… that hasn’t been my experience 🤔

Especially when you work from home, move, change jobs, get divorced, become a mom, become an empty nester…or life simply shifts.

That’s where PS Society comes in.

We’re building a network of women creating consistent connection in their own local communities, with PS Society giving them the tools and support to lead it.

One community at a time, we’re combating loneliness together.
