Action Alert 🚨

Today, June 17, the House of Representatives is taking up the Mass Ready Act, and Amendment #10 would phase out the use of anticoagulant rodenticides statewide.

Across Massachusetts, thousands of beloved pets and wildlife, including owls, hawks, and foxes, are being poisoned by these toxic rodenticides. And many die after suffering prolonged, painful deaths from ingesting rodenticides through contaminated prey.

Make your voice heard!

Contact your representatives today and urge them to support this amendment. We need them to hear from as many supporters as possible before they vote on June 17.

After nearly a century as a working cranberry farm, Tidmarsh restoration efforts began in 2010 with a bold vision: return the natural flow of water to the landscape. Over the next several years, the restoration team removed nine dams and multiple tons of sediment, reconnecting Beaver Dam Brook, Fresh Pond, and the Foothills headwaters to the ocean.

The response from nature was swift and remarkable. As waterways were restored, native plants began to reemerge, followed by a diverse array of insects, reptiles, and bird species—many of which hadn’t been seen on this property for more than a century. What was once an industrial agricultural site has become a thriving, dynamic ecosystem and a living example of the power of ecological restoration.

Blueberries are starting to bloom! 💙

Their small, greenish flowers—already hinting at the berry shape to come—are a favorite stop for bumblebees and other flying pollinators.

By early July, those blossoms will transform into ripe berries, quickly enjoyed by birds, mammals, and even turtles.

Wild blueberries play an important role in supporting local wildlife—so when you spot them, take a moment to appreciate (and leave them for the creatures who depend on them!).
