Stress isn’t just “in your head”… it’s affecting your brain. 🧠⚡

When stress becomes chronic, it can trigger inflammation in the brain—impacting mood, memory, and overall cognitive function. Over time, this can create a cycle of stress → inflammation → brain changes → even more stress.

For individuals affected by encephalitis, this connection is even more important. As an acquired brain injury, encephalitis can make the brain more vulnerable to inflammation—meaning stress can worsen symptoms and recovery challenges.

💡 What can you do?
• Manage stress (find what works for you)
• Prioritize sleep
• Stay connected with others

Your brain and immune system are deeply connected—taking care of one helps protect the other. 💜
